Hey guys, I'm trying to get into fighting game style sprites but I need your help.I'm attempting to sprite a fighting gameish version of my original character Narome, but I'm having a bit of trouble with the face, specifically. On the top left hand corner we have Narome in Ace Attorney style. That's just a referenceso you can see what he is supposed to look like. Anyway I feel like I can't quite capture hisface when the sprite is so low-res. Feel free to point out any other problems, but keep in mindthe sprite is not finished yet.Anyone have any advice? I realise this isn't exactly CVS but I felt this didn't deserve it's own topic.
The only thing I suggest is to look closely at how Capocm handled the CvS sprites. That and having a cvs character sprite next to the one you're working on to get a good sense of scale and style. another commission.
subzero's mouth looks too flat IMO. His right (your left) arm also looks uncomfortably jagged.other than he looks awesome!

I think, like most games, the shadows should be drawn on lower, left of most areas (Assuming the sprite is facing right)Also, DK's muzzle has some dark outline in front.. Those should be lighter with small emphasisI might not be 100% correct on all of this, but that'd be a good place to start, mate.

^The characters don't seem very CVS-ish, they lack the shading necessary, the battletoads appear to have none, and the others appear to have the light source more from in front/behind them
Your sprites lack CVS proportions, shading style and a decent light sourceLook at some tutorials before you carry on, they look nothing like CVS
