You're forgeting about the main feature, netplay, but here are the three main reasons(imo) on why Ikemen is not as popular as mugen.
1. Lack of compatibility
2. more hardware demanding
3. Not as "ready to go".
The updates from K4thos would probably change this, sadly he just dropped the project.
I know how you don't mess with ikemen+add004, but it's already possible using this combination. If k4thos ever finishes that update, its a done deal for the name displays. Because of add004, you can control who you want to switch to, I could have switched back to Ken if I wanted to.Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

This video displays the new 3v3 fight system featured in games such as Mvc2 KOF XI KOF 2003 etc.... Its been said for years that the mugen engine couldnt achieve such a thing but its here after two plus years of hard work.... This system is based on UNO SHES tag patch soo credit goes to them I just made compatible for 3v3 game play... Though is possible through any tag system. decided to go up against the jojo chars for AI purposes...... No HUD display in this video as it is still under heavy W.I.P. This is jus at match using the mvc chars to show the 3v3 capability more too come

Sorry but i have a doubt; with the New patch Will be possible choose between tag and the classic simul (like vanila and dio on the video) ?
You can show 3 life bars, but will you show the 3 character’s names?
You're basicailly just hardocding lifebars into the characters tehmselves right and adding the graphics to their air files? And youre saying if yourPlayerID # = 3rd member of your team, then show this lifebar, correct?

But I got name display to work on iekemen with 3+ players, Im not sure if we're talking about the same thing...like if you have 3 people on your team, it would show the 34d or more players name as well with their lifebar right? If so, thats already possible

That's good to know. Will triangle jumps still be accessible to Storm and Magneto? Or will they be limited to a certain height like way up above so professional level players can't spam it?
Also Sentinel's mouth laser will be kept intact (this one was annoying since its unblockable sometimes in the corner) or replaced with his original XCOTA crouching mouth missile? I missed some of his normals like the rotor foot and its normal standing missiles. Sentinel's flight I believe its a little bit too fast as well. That flight speed of his gives him so much advantage along with his range along with its ability to summon an assist while flying.
Lastly, Anakaris and Blackheart infinites. Not sure how those will be affected by the nojugglechecking parameter.

What version and modetype? because there´s 3 I think (K, S and other one), I´ll see if I can work too with that tag system as a base and erase or edit the add004 one
