...a franchise everyone ceased to care about years ago.
You are not everyone. Just because you don't care or haven't cared doesn't mean jack shit to everyone else.

Sounds like you're just jealous that Duke Nukem has a bigger dick and gets ALL the bitches.

Anyone I've ever discussed this game with, online or off,  has only ever talked about the constant delays and how much of a joke the title has become.  Honestly, before this thread I have never encountered anybody who expressed even the slightest interest in actually playing this game or whether or not it ever actually came out.  I guess I stand corrected on that point.

I still maintain that this will end up as another generic grey-brown shooter starring a ridiculous uber-male caricature.  >:D

Person Man, we have talked about Duke Nukem before, and that was when someone released the Duke Nukem mugen character.

And yes, the constant delays are what made this game a joke in the gaming industry, the fact that its "finally going to be released" is something that everybody is excited about. Why are you trying so hard to be a buzz kill?

a lot of people still play the classic duke nukems on emulators, or even on their consoles, people who like duke nukem will care for duke nukem no matter how much delayed things can get, it's simple, we waited, SF4 came, we waited, MvC3 is about to come, now it's duke's turn

Guess you never saw the name and/or avatar I've made and had for YEARS now on this forum.  Oh, you probably convinced yourself it means I don't care, right?  ;)

Turn a blind eye to it if you like.  Doesn't change the fact it's only due to its incredibly MASSIVE following that this game will see the light of day no matter how long it takes, and no matter what the cost, DUKE SHALL TRIUMPH.:dealwithit:

I haven't played any FPS game since Duke 3D.
This one will make me break my hiatus and play an FPS again.

I'm not trying to be a buzzkill, I just... I don't get it.  I don't understand how anyone can still be dedicated to a game that has spent more than a decade systematically letting down its fanbase in every possible way.  Especially when you consider that, when the game finally does get a definitive release window, it ends up looking like a first-person Gears of War clone that's trying way too hard to be funny (basing that last statement on these screens).  I don't know.  After 12 years of waiting, is that really all you want?

Despite it being a joke, DNF is the followup to DN3D, a game that was awesome when it was made and a lot of fun. The whole idea IS to be a buff macho person who gets all the bitches. Bring back the action hero.

This is relevant to my interests. Specially as i've been messing with the original again.

Quoted for truth.
Give me back some manly, macho action hero with killer one lines to sigh and have wet dreams about.  :P

That master Chief or Marcus Fenix have nothing on Duke. Duke owns.
