dont know about that but hes one of the handful of people that surivied the racon city incident, and the only one in his squad that survived from dr birkin

I mean those events are told in the spin-off shooters (Chronicles and such), I think they're not mentioned in the "main" games.

Yeah, not saying it's not canon. Just wanted to confirm which one was Hunk, because I didn't play those ones and only heard his name.

The only reason I could see it being Hunk is that he mentions being immune to the virus, and Hunk is well known for surviving when the rest of his team has died. Perhaps he was able to do so because of his immunity? He also mentions he was a mercenary, but I'm not sure if Hunk counts as one. I mean he kind of was? I dunno what qualifies as a mercenary!

The contact with Birkin and the G-virus could of lead to his special blood type and by now with Umbrella's destruction he would of likely became a Merc for anyone wanting to hire.

My theory is that it is actually a new character, as Alex was involved with Umbrella, and loyal to Spencer. This bald guy, however, seems totally disinterested with bioweapons and stuff.

Placeholder would be my guess, same thing showed up for RE5 prerelease, although a true 8 player Mercenaries would be awesome.

Yeah a Mercenaries would be nice. Another thing that could be cool is have a mode where 2 people are zombies (big time zombies not scrubs, but like Nemesis and shit.) and 6 people were humans and have a slasher movie type of mode. I think Dead Space 2 did something like that before
