I said this in another thread that I thought was about Re 6. But I loved the demo myself. A lot of things that bugged me about 5 are fixed. And I liked the melee fighting. Although some things seemed odd (like stepping on a zombies leg and them evaporating O_o) I never understood why you could never kick or punch the shit outta a zombie.

I've only tried leon's so far so I don't know what the other two are like, But I will be buying this.

well that can be attributed to the fact that they wanted to keep it less action...y and more horror...y otherwise the scare factor would be gone sorta

me being an advent "punch/slice the fuck outta anything that's alive but shouldnt be" type of person always wondered that but then you gotta realize:

that t-virus the zombies were infected by? it stands for tyrant (i know you all know this) the same one that made bows and tyrants which means that the average zombie is about twice as strong (not as strong as a bow or a tyrant obviously) as a regular human without the constitution to hold it all together (Iie decaying flesh and not working...anything except teeth) but it still takes herculean effort to shake them off if they grab you

also you can blame the live action movies for inviting this actiony shit you see in the newer games, granted knowing the human race and their knack for whining about the status quo, they woulda PROBABLY complained if 4 played like the classic series instead of how it does now because it "the same"

...wow look at me draggin on...anyway yeah remember there was originally gonna be a big cyborg guy so punching the fuck out of a zombie wasnt always out of the question
i cant count the reasons i should stay

one by one they all just fade away...

I've never read anything that says zombies are any stronger than normal humans. :-\

I remember reading reviews of Zero which said as much. You can't please everyone, but I'm glad they expanded the series in new directions. Plus, it was good to finally have a game that didn't take place in 1998 for once!

They seemed to of changed that from the Dragon Dogma's demo, as the zombies you fight at the end never evaporate. I thought it was a nice touch because in the older games their bodies stayed there until you got to another loading screen(except for Remake, FUCKING CRIMSON HEADS). Wait, just made myself sad, unless they pull some bs I guess these zombies can't go all VACT on your ass if you don't properly kill them. WHY WAS OPERATION RACCOON CITY THE ONLY OTHER ONE TO USE THEM DAMMIT

My brother was playing the Demo last night, he was far from impressed.

He misses the Tank walking, full speed walk is the speed of a sprint on RE4 and RE5, taking too much references from different titles of games such as COD and Battlefield (Gameplay wise and mechanics on Chris's part of the Demo)

Jack is one OP bitch, but that's meant to be his gameplay since he's Wesker's kid, Leon's Story was meant to be the "Horror" story, It wasn't scary at all, even when that zombie jumps at you from the door and the ones crawling on the floor, as soon as it got to the part where you have to shoot Zombies out of a window on Leon's part, my brother just quit the game, deleted the demo and shouted quite loudly

"THANKS FOR FUCKING UP ONE OF MY FAVORITE GAME SERIES CAPCOM!"

He'll only buy it when it's mega cheap so he can troll his team mates online.
Oh "You're late for the party" C'mon Capcom, make Jack a little more badass atleast.

I tried the demo (Leon's path), and I definitely like it more than what I've played of RE5. I could do without the partner, though, I don't know why they insist on including them. Well, at least she seemed more competent than Sheva. Also, maybe it's just me, but I think it would have made more sense if the melee had you punching the zombies instead. It's faster, wastes less energy, and just seems more practical IMO. Curb stomping once they fall is ok though.

well, Ada will be alone in the majority of hers outside of a few runins I've seen. Besides Leon's I'm looking forward to hers the most.

tbh it's something i picked up from various events in the games that you can call evidence to support the theory

remember the zombie has more than just its base form, if you whack it again, it transforms into the crimson head (regenerated musculature, super strength, some degree of super speed, claws and shit) this is what you'd get from a regular zombie if it didn't necrotize, it also evolves into a licker if left alone enough but thats another story also like i said the effort it takes to shrug off a zombie is immense from whats seen in the games

now imagine a human being with the effects of the t-virus but without the drawbacks (zombification) and you'd basically have a slightly weaker tyrant, thats pretty much how i deduced it

also the (shitty) live action movies elaborated on this with alice by (somehow) keeping her from undergoing the necrotizing part of the act and just giving her the mary sue powers because fuck you

then there's wesker who actually has(d) a strain of the t-virus (technically) in the form of the prototype virus which is a strain of the progenitor virus from which the t-virus comes from
he has all the perks of a zombie/tyrant/bow, but with his autonomy and body intact, but we later find out he has to take shots in intervals so theres also that

@DMK I remember reading somewhere that there weren't any Crimson Heads in Zero because Billy and Becky didn't spend too long in one place or something,

they were originally remake exclusive to explore the whole "kill it dead completely" thing until capcom decided to retcon elaborate on the concept further with the next form of the v-act being the licker

also dont expect any zombies to undergo the v-act in re6 when theyre infected by the c-virus
i cant count the reasons i should stay

one by one they all just fade away...

Yeah, but regular zombies don't have that new fancy musculature. It's all rotting away.

Yeah you look at the other girls ass too in the outside area. Not saying that I did that or anything........  :wacky:

Edit: After doing some google searching I was able to find the previous xbox360 demo that came out with Dragons Dogma. I would post the link to the download, but that site has Iso's......  =(

This is the one with that big nemesis looking guy chasing Sherry and Jake, and Leon escorting that girl that transforms. I would say this demo is better than the one that was released to the public.

I've already been warming up for this game. It's gonna be great. Between this and Halo 4, my MUGEN productivity is going to hit a stand still lol. Still has the same feel as RE4/5, with some very welcome new mechanics. I can FINALLY move while in the "ready" gun position! I always felt it weird that they never incorporated that simple function. They put it in Dino Crisis with Regina though... That came out between RE2/3. I had expected Jill would have been able to do this when RE3 came out, but much to my disappointment, she couldn't... There's one thing that kinda urks me about this game though. And that's the cover mechanic.

Taking and firing from behind cover feels overly complicated. It honestly felt better in RE5. Presh a button to take cover, locks you in, press the same button come out from cover(RE5 mechanic). In RE6, you have to press a button, while in cover you HAVE to hold down the "ready" button or you'll just stand out of the cover... And firing from behind cover is weird because of this. I'm still trying to get used to it before the game drops. Everything else I've pretty much got down. I really like being able to do a timed counter to enemies. Really good for ammo conservation and quick kills. Reminds me of Onimusha.

Played both the Dragon's Dogma demo and the public demo. The public demo was all around better than the DD demo. Leon's scenario in the DD demo is a joke, there is ZERO action; you're just walking around. The Ustanak fight in Jake's is ruined by the fact that you have to worry about tons of enemies shooting at you while trying to focus on the Ustanak WHILE being in a cramped area. It's like having to fight Nemesis while getting shot at by a shitload of zombies. No fun.

I also feel that in terms of controls this game has a slight case of twisted metal syndrome.

Well I'm a Resident Evil fan and even enjoyed Resident Evil 5 but the demo for 6 was fucking awful.

Leon's scenario you can't see the zombies half the time. The suspense factor is destroyed by the fact Leon can melee constantly.

Chris' scenario the camera can't keep up with and his AI partner just wanders off by himself.

Jake's scenario he vaults over things pointlessly.

They either sort this out or I won't bother especially if I'm expected to drop more money for extra maps.
I rock
