Sweet! Tekken in my Smash? It is about time! Also, I finally realized the context of this gif we had in MFG:
It took long enough for the most iconic 3D fighter to get in a so called fighter party brawler crossover thing. Not bad at all. This official celebratory art is very meh though, but Min trying to save Ryu is the sole good part. I don't think Steve, Banjo, or Joker even got any at all, so eh. Very, very tired of seeing this nonsensical "smash characters on cliff" art though, hope they never use it again after this.

Kennedy• Linkle• Lloyd• Lora (Torna)• Luminary (Dragon Quest's Hero)• Monster Hunter (Kirishima note: even tho it's a Mii Costume, there is a chance that other armors especially from Rise would take the position of playable)• Phoenix Wright• Porky• Professor Layton• Rayman• Rex• Ryu Hayabusa• Sephiroth• Shantae• Sora• Spyro• Steve• Terra (Final Fantasy 6)• Terry Bogard• Quote• Yu• Yuri (Tales of Vesperia)...so this leaked list probably turned out to be fake. No Kazuya to be seen on that list, yet here we are, with a playable Kazuya.
Wouldn't dismiss it. Much like Pyra/Mythra and Rex, Kazuya is still in the same catagory as Heihachi. That list isn't about what is coming to the roster but what is chosen for consideration and it can stretch up to the pick's own series.Only Nintendo is crazy enough to recommend Captain Toad and Hyrule Warrior OGs.
This is freaking epic! I'm ok with it not being Heihachi, but I am so god damn happy it's not Jin. Kazuya is the ideal choice for sure. Tekken is my favourite fighting game franchise of all time, so I'm super happy with this. The music will be legendary.
I kinda hope the Mishima house collapses as you fight in it like the Fire Emblem stage that slowly progresses downwards whose name I'm forgetting off the top of my head. Would be a neat callback to the Tekken film with the fight between Jin, Kazuya and Heihachi.

From the looks of it, the stage chosen seems to be the Hall of Judgement from Tekken Tag Tournament 2, albeit with some missing props like curtains, and in the night time - which honestly takes away a bit of it's original charm, in my opinion.Long John Killer said, June 17, 2021, 02:38:36 amI kinda hope the Mishima house collapses as you fight in it like the Fire Emblem stage that slowly progresses downwards whose name I'm forgetting off the top of my head. Seemed like it OHKO'd Capt. Falcon during the trailer, but I could be wrong. It continues to amaze me how complex actual fighting game characters can get when you put them in Smash.

So there has been speculation about who the last DLC character could be, and there is a theory going on that Atlus and SNK are the only 3rd party brands that don't have two reps as playable characters. SNK is excluded as they already placed their other brands as Mii Costumes and Songs, making Atlus the last brand that is missing a second rep.Meaning only one character(s) fits the bill for the last slot as it comes from a M-rated series (for those that know of that one M-rated Theory), lines up with Nintendo's alleged leaked list, has a game in the works whose inclusion can serve to promote it, comes from a long running series in Japan, and the nature of this character's series can have it show up in a trailer involving Dharkon to save the day.Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyThe new Demon Summoner from Shin Megami Tensei V because there is no way Atlus is skipping out on a Jack Frost Mii Costume. In fact, it'll likely consists of past protags from previous entries much like Hero.Yea, Crash and Doom Slayer fans better hope for the Fighter Ballot now.
Honestly, there hasn't been a single DLC character yet that hasn't blown every single prevalent theory at the time completely out of the water. Even Byleth was completely unexpected with how entirely expected he was. I'd say hang all the rumors and theories and just wait and see. It could be anyone.NDSilva said, June 17, 2021, 06:33:45 pmFrom the looks of it, the stage chosen seems to be the Hall of Judgement from Tekken Tag Tournament 2, albeit with some missing props like curtains, and in the night time - which honestly takes away a bit of it's original charm, in my opinion.Isn't it the Mishima Dojo from Tekken 7?
