Alright guys the time has come to release Netherrealm Scorpion MVC2. It is Scorpion like you never seen before! This character has MVC2 format by Darkwolf-13.
This is the first character that I wanted to do years ago and my mugen journey begin with this character and is the best character yet! He is 6 button character. Scorpion has special moves from MK9 to MK11. Scorpion is a close range fighter while not having good zoning game. He more than makes this up by zeroing in on the opponent at any distance. Scorpion has great pressure game with vastflames,sword,kunai, and normal attacks. What is really great is that Scorpion has so many options for juggles and combo enders all while balancing the gameplay style. Scorpion is equip with AI as well. That is brutal now and will keep pressure on you and Air combo you. He won't let you turtle! He also has a new hyper called the Netherrealm. Where he teleports any character (including boss characters to the Netherrealm) Scorpion gains a defensive buff and receives less than 50% damage on all attacks by opponent. He also gains a new ability called the Nethrrealm teleport where is it safe on block and can ambush attack the opponent from behind. All his moves and descriptions are in the read me located inside the folder. While I was adamant to release this is because I wanted to do more it would take even longer to accomplish that so maybe on a future update will do that. But not for a long while in the meantime enjoy Scorpion now the best one for mugen ;)

Update 1.1 Changes Log -fixed p2 recovering bug on Anguish Slam Brutality when your in the last round. -added invisiblity frames on Scorpion animations only when X-ray Hyper hyper connects (for team battles) -fixed X-ray Hyper black background staying during whole match if spear doesn't connect on super armour characters or if it misses
Update 1.2 changes -Deleted diagonal spear move since it is more done in X-ray move and it is better to use teleport to keep opponent grounded -Spear moves have been changed refer to spear move in read me here. -Fixed Ai roll commands that makes it recover took quickly -Fixed the normals moves that acted buggy and hit opponent automatically without your command during spear stun state.
Update 1.3 changes -Added Laughing sounds to Round 2 intro. -Added Midnight Bliss animation with new sprites -Added new sprites for Hateful Swing move for Classic and Revenant version -Fixed intro where Scorpion attacks before round begins
Update 1.4 changes -Made all intros do pre-walk like mvc2 before round begins -Added new round 3 intro -Fixed Spectral Grab from making opponent recover in mid air after spectral grab hit -Remove burning corpse animation from spectral grab brutality and made it execute faster -Medium Punch Teleport hitdef has been changed to be more combo-ability. -Added Team mode triggers for intros and fatalities. Fatalities won't work in team mode for turns only. Work in Simulneous and Single modes. -Fixed Flame Shield Brutality from using explods when doing it far away without hitting opponent. -Fixed Fatality Bug when playing Simul Battles only last opponent receives fatality.
Update 1.5 changes -Added revenant sprites -Added "Your Not Yet a Warrior!!!" Sound for Taunt and Win pose in Team mode only. -Has same gameplay as Classic Version -AI changed has more juggle combos. Might be a bit harder to defeat.He now Teleports even if you plan to throw fireballs from the air or ground. -Added has Tag patch from Darkwolf-13.
Update 1.6 changes -Change Character Enemy,Name triggers for Spectral Grab when your fighting JJkoolaid "Grandmaster Subzero" other Subzero's will not trigger this. -Added Sub-zero intro for "Grandmaster Subzero" Only -Change Tag X-hyper for Tag Fatalities to only work when your only controlling the character. Just in case you pick another Scorpion or a Subzero as your Tag Partner. -Fixed 3 Normals that were inputted without human command -Added more animation frame ticks to Damnation normal to look smoother. -Added more animation frame ticks to last Brimstone normal to look smoother. -Made "Your Not Yet a Warrior!!!" sound less loud, remove it from his taunt sounds and only made it to do in team win pose. -Added Tag Team win pose when your tag partner is JJkoolaid "Grandmaster Subzero" -Updated all combo limiter moves with better coding that works in Simul battles now -Remove "JJkoolaid" author name triggers for only special intros and taunts. JJkoolaid characters will be name differently so all special intros to work with JJkoolaid characters only -Put better code for Snapback Alpha Counter for the Vengeful -Fix Dizzy State when opponent is KO'ed by Spear.

Amazing a great character to put in the roster
feedback. when facing a character like juggernaut the X-ray hyper's second attack doesn't hit and the black screen remains

I just downloaded the update and haven't tested it yet, but this character is amazing and every time you update him he only gets better and better. I'm sure this is going to be yet another great update from reading the changelog. Thank you very much for this character, and continuing to improve him. I'm definitely looking forward to Grandmaster Sub-Zero as well. Super pumped.

Oh yeah, I definitely downloaded her again after hearing that, and thanks for another update as well. I still have to test her out though, but will give feedback when I do, which will be later today.
I just gave a good 1-2 hour run with Scorpion though, and he's amazing. Like I said in the Sub-Zero thread, the positives FAR outweigh the negatives, if you can even call them that. With that said, here's all I got for Scorpion...

- It's odd that some of his hyper bgs are the blue color, and some are the orange. I'm sure there's a reason, but it through me off.
- I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or it just doesn't work in M1.1 or not, but "The Neverhole" hyper does not do anything. When I do it, the screen goes black for about 5-10 seconds, then once every 5-10 seconds after that the bg will flash an image of the Netherrealm, then go black screen again. Will repeat that about 6 times, then the bg will finally change to the Netherrealm and stay, Scorpion changes to an Orange hue, and that's it. From the description of the move in the readme, that is not how it's supposed to function
- Strong version of "Flame Pillar" should maybe cost energy to use (would also be cool as an EX style move if he had them). Currently, there's no incentive to use the medium version of it that I know of since it does the same thing as the strong version, but it doesn't stun them, making it inferior.
- Teleport special seems like medium version should be the weak version, weak should be strong, and strong should be medium.
- X-Ray hyper is super dope, but might look a little better if you held the X-ray shots for an extra .5-1 seconds longer on each hit. Maybe.

I am glad you liked! Thank you for your feedback. I made a typo in the read me. By the way. The hyper you executed is called The Netherrealm and it executes as intended with the screen going black and then the Netherrealm. Scorpion is orange cause he takes less damage while in the Netherrealm only. Command for that is D, DB, B, + two kicks. The other hyper you mention that you wanted to execute is called the Netherhole and it is D, DB, B, + two punches. I will definately take your input into consideration and see if anything can be improved in the next update.

That makes sense that it causes him to take less damage while in that mode/realm, so I was wrong about it not doing anything. It's just weird that after it goes to the black screen, that it flashes the Netherrealm background image about 6 times before fully going to it and it is about a 30 second transition. It might be better to have the transition be instant or at least much faster and not flash the bg image. Maybe you could have Scorpion grab the opponent (maybe quickly sink into the ground), then have the screen fade to black, then fade back in to the Netherrealm. Just an idea, but obviously I want you to do whatever you think is best. Anyway, thanks again and keep up the good work.

If I’m not mistaken, the whole lead up to the Scorpion Netherrealm trip is taken from an old popular version of Scorpion in Mugen called Bloody Scorpion I think. I remember his did the same thing and played the music from when Scorp fought Johnny Cage in the MK movie
