Infinite/SvK Characters Updated/Tweaked: Terry Bogard

A new idea for a set of upcoming edits, updated of Mr. Infinite's Old Edits, part of his SvK (Street Fighter vs King of Fighters) project.
These edits had rather large movesets and the gameplay combined MvC and CvS, including Chain Combos, Launchers, Power Charging, Parries and a lil' more.

General Changes across all characters:
  • Movesets cut down to better match the characters.
  • Super Portraits and Backgrounds removed (Mainly for Level 1s).
  • Level 2 Supers and SDMs (Level 3 Supers that require you to have 1/3 of Life) omitted/disabled.
  • Command changes.

Ryu (Original by PotS):
- Projectile Helper Hitsparks and etc. being mispositioned in Zoom stages fixed.
- Close Standing HP no longer a Launcher.
- Damage Dampening on most specials less serious.
- More...
To Do/Known Issues:
- Anything I missed in the readme.
- Adjust Ashura Senkuu command (I may just make it F,D,DF,2P depending on the feedback).
- Electric Effect to Shin Shoryuken.
- Changes to combability and cancels?
- Change his voice?
- Proper Start-up for Shin Messatsu Goushoryu.
- Adjust the Camera for Shin Messatsu Goushoryu (Ryu's Bag for example is visible towards the end).



Ken (Original by Jmorphman):
- Projectile Helper Hitsparks and etc. being mispositioned in Zoom stages fixed.

- Hadouken Supers disabled.
- Added Anti-Cornerpush to most Supers (That of Jmorphman's original).
To Do/Known Issues:

Terry (Original by Vyn):
- Heavy Power Dunk, Burn Knuckle and Crack Shoot consistent with their Light and Medium variations.
- Close Standing HP changed.
- Close Standing HK no longer launches.
- Air Power Dunk disabled.
- Power Hurricane nerfed and no longer causes Wall Bounce.
To Do/Known Issues:
- Dunk Geyser?
- Power Geyser hit count.
- Re-Do Trinity Geyser.

i'm pretty glad that there's still people who like the SvK edits. for some reason though, a part of my gameplay style takes a little bit of resemblance to this.

I liked this idea because hese chars are fun to play.
But, I hope you mantain your focus in your list of edits to do.

I liked this idea because hese chars are fun to play.
But, I hope you mantain your focus in your list of edits to do.

Don't worry, I will try to maintain a bit of focus, if you're referring to the PotS stuff.

Awesome that your taking the time to update the chars as I have wanted and have been trying to do myself.

But I wanted to explain something about the style. If you cut the move sets down then that kinda takes away from what made them feel like an "SvK" character.

I too helped with some of those chars, and see the idea was to have a move for almost most situations regardless of what fighter you chose. Which included something new with the old just to spice things up. People who fight against fighters like akuma would no longer have to worry because almost everybody had just enough of the same amount of moves in them for various situations. It spices things up. They also retained their original movesets and etc with some changes maybe for the sake of combos.

On topic, giving characters loads of moves 'for various situations' kinda makes them feel the same as one another, as a few people pointed out, so I'd like to have them retain a pinch of their original playstyle though with the MvC inspiration in mind.

My projects are good. Ive had to take a break due to personal health reasons and concentrating mainly on other real life stuff.

As for what others "think" that's cool but I was just letting you know how the style was originally intended to be like, hence what makes it what it is. It gave each character a variety of options to choose from move wise and a lot of them are not the same, they are more of some new ones added in to spice things up.

Feel free to create what you want the way you see fit, I was just letting you know why things were set up the way they were tho. No ill will or anything was intended.

Ryu was also updated to add missing Super Finish sprites.

Huh, I was about to ask you about this as well. Does this mean you haven't made any progress with the other turtles or updates to your older characters since your hiatus? Either way, it's good to know you haven't completely cancelled them. Hope you feel better soon.
I will still do detail and aesthetic feedback for the rest.

Ryu updated again:
- Added missing Super FX.
- Changed Run step sounds.
- Added Dodge Attack.
- Added slight afterimage to Dodge and Rolls.
- P2 Y.Velocity from Shin Shoryuken decreased.
- Transformation has better recovery.
- Misc damage adjustments and tweaks.

If he has any more missing FX compared to Ken, let me know.
