Gah, the plot in Jojolion is crawling along so slowly that it's a real possibility that by the time the anime catches up they're going to have to start resorting to filler.

What filler are you guys talking about? the only filler that comes to mind is the milagro man stuff from two months ago. Most of the other fights ultimately advance the plot in some way (introducing the rokkaka, the rock guys, revealing Josuke's past). The pacing is slow and the monthly serialization doesn't help, but there isn't much filler.

sheesh, good catch there. didn't read any of them so i wouldn't have even noticed

and yeah for how slow it is the only thing i didn't care about was the milagro man stuff. just kind of a 'whatever' semi-rehash of Super Fly

Mostly I'm just poking fun at how sub-glacial the story has been moving. Like how it's been around 60 chapters and we're only just now getting to what I assume is the actual plot of the arc.

But really, it can't help but feel like it's being padded when most of the story so far has been nothing but (very very) slowly revealing new mysteries and then never actually solving any of them. Who is Josuke? Who is Yoshikage Kira? Who are the Higashikatas? Are they friends or enemies? Who is Nijimura? Why does she hate the Higashikatas? Why is she working for them? Where did these rock people come from? What do they want? Why is one of the Higashikatas working with them? What are the Wall Eyes? What's this weird magic fruit? What's this stone disease? Who is Karera? What does she know? It's been almost 6 years and the story's only just now beginning to answer any of the questions it keeps raising.

Ayyy new episode and they're smacking 3 different arcs in one episode....kinda
They're focusing on Superfly with Cheap Trick and Enigma going slowly in the background.
Its pretty weird tbh but they're pulling it off.
