a popular conspiracy theory is that there are moles working for established fighting game producing companies that take inspiration from certain mugen works

For example, Violent Ken being based off of Evil Ken, Oni being based on various Akuma edits and SNK using Walt's sprite edits.

Because the idea of an evil version of Ken is totally original.

I mean it's not like Evil Ryu exists already or anything.

Violent Ken was actually based on the SF2 movie where Ken was brainwashed by Bison.

So why does he get a Rugal pillar at the end of his Exceed? Unless you're telling me SF2 Movie Psycho Power allows Rugal pillars.

Most likely because SNK was lazy and wanted to fulfill a contract, so they reused effects.

Oh crap, who was that guy who was REALLY obsessed with Lilith from DS and made his own "Original" character with an evil version too?

Seriously, I found him quite funny

Panzermanthod and his insistance on using blue-colored text.

That annoying guy with the Sonic avatar who keeps using words like chaps.

Moo Poncho.

One gag I remember from recent times was Donutman got all defensive and shouty when you called him "Mario/SonicFan 13" or whatever. Everyone knows that sure.

Of course nowadays he went all "Haha that doesn't offend me anymore" though if he really wanted to show he didn't care he'd ignore it but hey.
There was a sig here. Its gone now (thanks photobucket ya fecks)

*Ahuron's ME FIRST habit when new things come out, such as trying to make the first Nameless when his sprites were ripped or trying to make the first KOF XIII chars when their sprites were ripped (though he was beaten on the latter)
That habit was around much earlier than Ahuron. Just ask Ex-Inferis and his SF3 Alex Pablo, one of the first SF3 conversions (predictability, it sucked).

There's also the unreleased SF3 Samus with a Hyper Beam and Super Smash Bros. Brawl which had that move too. George Clooney hitsparks not included.

-YOU HAVE POOR DICK IN MUGEN (I think, not quite sure about the origins)
-BRAZIL TIME (Shoshingo did a series of mugen combo videos that usually also feature retarded combos Brazilian (usually) creations at the time were notorious of having.)
-Omega. Tiger. Woods. Yes, it kinda counts, seriously. If you weren't around when Most_Mysterious was around, I'll just tell you that he milked the hell out of that photoshop for quite some time by shoving it in everywhere he could (first started when his "Alex" conversion has that face pop up shall you pull off a super KO) before releasing Omega Tiger Woods.
-Rox Howard by Messatsu, which was supposedly a private, overpowered edit of NeoGouki's Rock Howard, and Messatsu tended to write posts about Rox Howard and his army of clones. Once upon a time, Most_Mysterious took the immortalizing of this mugen's urban legend (in the form of an "army" type of a mugen creation) wrong by assuming Rox Howard would look like SF3 Ken (as Messatsu had him as an avatar at the time) and the rest I assume is history. Also I'm pretty sure that RageRock is more closer to whatever vision Messatsu would have
-And yeah, I spawned a monster in the form of "Retarded Character Beatdowns", and now I regret it for quite some time, especially when you have the blind followers still "keeping" the fad alive by beating down terrible creations with stuff that usually isn't actually much better. Said blind followers are pretty much the reason why I rarely ever do mugen videos anymore.
-Perhaps, unintentionally, UNREGISTERED HYPERCAM (now obsolete thanks to Hypercam itself becoming freeware)
-Last but not least, anyone there still remembers EvilSlayerX5? I'd still salute you if you haven't.

I don't remember more of what wasn't already mentioned atm. Also I doubt PeterFoster would count.

I remember a few people commenting on Ahuron's habit though. But yeah, ME FIRST as a whole could be considered a fad.

I remember OrochiKOF97 linking to a hilarious topic in MGBR, at the time where he was creating Clark. The Brazilians told him it would be cool to add a Proton Cannon to make him better. He didn't even answer to that since it was so stupid, then the members there jumped on him saying he was a very bad guy for not listening to good advice and feedback, so he basically told them to go fuck themselves and left.
That also why his (never released) Igniz had a Brazilian mode with a Kamehameha using Cell's voice (same voice actor as Igniz).
