What RED said all three (Sony ,Capcom, and Other Ocean) of them are at fault. But it is great they are addressing this quickly even if that version is not at EVO or the CPT (Capcom Pro Tour)They could have added a feature that turns off the in game commentary but not the announcer.
Another new patch that fixes more bugs and the input latency is reduced.http://shoryuken.com/2015/06/11/latest-ultra-street-fighter-iv-patch-on-playstation-4-further-reduces-input-latency-corrects-numerous-sound-issues-and-more/
I can hit all of my combos without a problem now. Finally jumping back into the PS4 version thanks to this patch.Edit: My first ranked match after the patch....... I was anti airing.... Before the patch I just blocked jump ins. lol
Only played that 1 ranked match after the patch so far. 4 bar connection and it felt perfect. Better than the PS3 and probably on par with the 360 netcode wise. The only thing that sucks is the bars for peoples connections don't show until you're in the lobby with them. Seems like a PSN thing. It was like that on the PS3.
I did some more ranked matches and some endless battles with random people. The netcode is godlike for me. I've had nothing but smiles on my face while playing today because of it.Only had 1 laggy ranked match, but that guy had 2-3 bars with me. Avoid those guys and you'll be fine.
Actually, you do bring up a good point that I'm curious about - in XBLA you can see how many connection bars a user has before you enter the lobby. I heard in a podcast that in the PS3/PS4 version you can only see how many bars once you've entered the lobby. Is this true?
Yep, that's true for me for around 70-80% of the people that I've seen online. On the PS4, every now and then you'll see how many bars someone has before entering a lobby, but most of the time you'll see 0 bar connections with people until you join them. It's like a connection guessing game at the moment. Also joining peoples endless lobbies/ranked matches is faster on the 360 as well.
Online in 360 worked kinda like that for me: I could see a 2 bar opponent but inside the lobby the connection status changed to green or whatever.I'll buy the game today to see what happens (fuck... I just realized I bought this game 4 times already).
Exactly, I was just about to say WHO ARE YOU KIDDING, RENZO? You know you're gonna buy it anyway. At least be our informant, you FG enthusiast.
Your predictions are always accurate: When GGXrd was announced to be released on PS7 (3+4) you told me I was going to buy both versions.Same for this shit.
(I know because I'd do the same thing. I'm even buying digital versions of things I already own in disc )
Ultra Street Fighter IV Update 1.04 Adds Anti-Aliasing, Improves Anisotropic FilteringReportedly taking up 484MB, Ultra Street Fighter IV update 1.04 is now available to download on PlayStation 4, just a couple weeks after Sony announced they were working on ithttp://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2015/07/06/ultra-street-fighter-iv-update-1-04-adds-anti-aliasing-improves-anisotropic-filtering/#/slide/1
This version is very good now. The only negatives that I can find are that my friends list still doesn't show up on the leaderboards and the connection bars before joining lobbies are still bad. Well, back to playing.
Question: Is it supposed to be hard to use the commands for an Ultra on PS3? I can do every other commands fine, but unless I mash buttons, I can't use the Ultras.
I know the commands, and I know that L1 = all punches and L2 = all kicks. But the move simply doesn't come. I performed them perfectly on the PC version.
Go to training mode, turn the inputs on, and see what you're doing wrong. There is nothing difficult about doing Ultras in this game. Even with the PS3's input lag.
There's even different input setups, and that affects how the controllers / Sticks react. Go into options.
