Really looking forward to it, although I think I'll buy it after 1 year when the GOTY edition comes out with all the DLC and there would be plenty of mods available by then.

Of course I'll have to buy it on Steam or something since the game is banned here because of the stupid brahmin cow issue :S

Heh, I know what you mean. Replayability of the modern RPGs is not high enough to make you wanna play though them several times just to look at new add-ons. With a few exceptions. Plus it's time-consuming. But I won't be able to resist the wait so I'm buying the game the day it comes out. I hope the game will introduce more interesting and stats-dependable dialogues like in Fallout 1&2.

Preordered the PC version, which allows unofficial mods of any kind. Oh, and a lot of patience prepared beforehand to deal with the possible amount of bugs that I may encounter in the game. Since I know Bethesda sucks at making a game free of problems.

Really looking forward to this game! I just beat GOTY edition so it's a smooth transition for me. Plus FF13 is really pissing me off right now.... :*(

Fallout: New Vegas now in shops!

I just got my first CTD while playing, so I can say it's truly a Bethesda game.

You know Bethesda did NOT make this game right? Obsidian, the makers of the originals, made this game.

I grab my DVD case and I read that both Obsidian AND Bethesda are in this.

Now, I don't know if that CTD was because of the game or because of my computer, since both cooperated in Fallout 3. For now I will assume my computer is at fault.

Bethesda published it, Obsidian developed it. Bethesda worked a lot with Obsidian in order to create the same feel as the third game, but they are not at fault for any bugs in the game as they did not program it.

Okay, it seems it's my graphics card, that decided to die on me in the middle of the game. Guess it's time to buy a new one, that or I will be forced to play this game with really low quality.

Btw, you need Steam to play this game. That's something I personally didn't like.

Gamespot rated it 7.5 mostly because of the vast amount of bugs, and the story

First DLC is apprantly Xbawkz onry.

Quote
Bethesda is giving Fallout fans an early Christmas present with confirmation that the first DLC for Fallout: New Vegas will be coming exclusively to Xbox Live just before the yule-tide day itself.

'Dead Money' is the name of the first add-on, and follows your courier character on a quest to recover the fabled treasure of the Sierra Madre Casino as you're once again the victim of a raw deal and must work with another three wastelanders to track down the booty.

“We’re pleased to give fans a chance to expand their experience in Fallout: New Vegas this December with Dead Money,” said Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing for Bethesda. “The release of Dead Money illustrates our commitment to creating entertaining add-on content for players to enjoy in already massive games like Fallout: New Vegas.”

In Dead Money, your life hangs in the balance, and you'll come up against new terrain, new foes and a whole new set of tough choices. You'll need to play your cards right to survive then, when Fallout: New Vegas' Dead Money DLC hits the Xbox Live Marketplace on December 21st for 800 Microsoft Points.

Source.

Plan on picking up the game soon myself, but can't believe Mircosoft is wasting money on some shitty "part time exclusive". This is why Xbox won't have a good exclusive game till GOW3.  ::)

Why this, when there's a lot of bugs to fix yet. Have they forgotten about the PC version again?

There should be an unofficial patch that fixes the bugs for the PC version.

Actually there are unofficial patches which fix the bugs. Give PC players mod tools and they'll fix your game :P

And this is the sad thing about all this. Players fixing the game, not the developers. It's been like this since Oblivion.

Nah, it's usually a normal thing until they officially patch it themselves.
