Nintendo 3DS Patent Covers Vibrating Stylus, New Kinds of Control That innuendo picture.
http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2012/05/3ds_patent_covers_vibrating_stylus_new_kinds_of_control
Quote
Nintendo's filed a patent for a new kind of input on 3DS — one that requires no physical contact with the console at all.

The application uses the 3DS console's inner-facing camera along with a stylus to manipulate 3D images on the top screen without the need for buttons, touch screen or moving the console.

The inward-facing camera detects a 'marker' applied to the end of a stylus. The 3DS can calculate the marker's position in 3D space based on its size and position, using that information to manipulate an item on the top screen. By moving the stylus further away, the object could appear to 'come out' of the screen; move the stylus nearer and the object would appear to move deeper into the 3D space.

It wouldn't be limited to the inner camera either — the patent shows you could use the same stylus-marker combination to move items behind the machine, rather like moving the cards around in the system's existing Augmented Reality software only with far more flexibility.

The patent also refers to a new kind of stylus with a vibration function, giving you physical feedback when you interact with the virtual items, as well as a marker allowing it to be tracked by the 3DS camera. You wouldn't need this stylus though — the patent also shows the system works if you put the marker on your finger.

If the name of Toki nothing to you, then you have not really experienced the heyday of the Amiga where excellent game platforms had such an address in the early 90s. Eh bien sachez que la bonne nouvelle de la journée fait état d'un remake de ce titre comme vous le prouvent les visuels ci-dessous. Well aware that the good news of the day reported a remake of this title as you show the visual below. Développé par le jeune studio français, Golgoth Studio, ledit remake est pour l'heure prévu sur le Xbox Live Arcade et Games for Windows Live . Developed by the young French studio, Golgoth Studio remake that has so far provided on Xbox Live Arcade and Games for Windows Live. Pas plus d'informations à l'heure actuelle même si on commence déjà à se frotter les mains à la vue de la réactualisation graphique témoignant d'un sacré coup de pinceau ! No details at present although it is already beginning to rub their hands at the sight of the updating chart showing quite a stroke!

IGN: Devs: PS4/Xbox 3 By Jan 2014, Xbox 3 easiest/best selling, Wii U "too complex."
Quote
The next generation of consoles starts in 2013, if all goes according to developers’ plans. In an anonymous questionnaire, multiple industry professionals told IGN that they plan to release games for the next Microsoft and Sony consoles before January 1, 2014.
Multiple developers also intend to launch software for an unannounced platform next year.
The end is nigh.
Quote
To further signal the winding down of the current console generation, approximately 60% of respondents have no plans to release games for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or Nintendo Wii after 2013. Of course, this means some 40% intend to keep at current-gen releases after next year. To that point, an anonymous developer told IGN, “I would not be surprised if something atypical cannibalizes the market, maybe even the Xbox 360 itself.”
From a hardware perspective, nearly 80% of respondents said Microsoft’s next console is the easiest to work with, and the overwhelming majority suspect it will be the sales leader over the next five years.
Quote
The ease of use compared to other consoles is assuredly attractive, too. By comparison, 63% of developers who spoke to IGN said the Wii U would be the most challenging platform to develop for. One creator went as far as saying, “we won’t be working on Wii U due to these complexities,” while another lamented the difficulty of moving innovative games unique to Wii U to other platforms. This poses the question: Will Nintendo once again need to rely primarily on first-party games to propel platform success? At any rate, the Wii U’s 2012 release window gives it a distinct advantage: time.

Rumor: Microsoft set to reveal 'Xbox Smart Glass' tablet application at this years E3
http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/01/microsoft-smart-glass-coming-at-e3-airplay-style-streaming-from/
Quote
The last couple of weeks leading up to E3 have been good for anyone that loves insider information. Today’s leak is the largest one yet, and comes from Microsoft. The people behind "Xbox" and "Xbox Live" will be revealing the Xbox Smart Glass tablet behind closed doors to a select group of people. In the official “Microsoft Confidential” presentation, they specifically noted this:

Xbox Smart Glass is a companion application for Xbox LIVE that will allow users to control their Xbox (e.g., transport controls, content discovery and search). The Xbox Smart Glass companion application will be optimized for Windows Tablets and Phones and also made available to iOS/Android Tablets and Phones.
Activities will be made available within the Xbox Smart Glass companion application. Activities will be tied to existing and new applications on Xbox (e.g., Zune Music will have an activity). We will demo Xbox Smart Glass experiences for nearly all of our major brand partners at E3 (existing plus new partners).
The Xbox Smart Glass companion application will have the ability to play video on Tablets/Phones and send the videos to Xbox to play on the TV.
Additionally, we will demo Xbox Smart Glass capabilities (see slide 12) but at no time will we show any video content playing on a Tablet/Phone device.

Sony to sell downloadable content at GameStops in Europe and Australia
Quote
Sony isn't about to let Nintendo and PC games get a leg up on it in the downloadable content (DLC) arena. That's why the company's European arm (which also runs the show in Australia and New Zealand) is taking its digital wares to GameStop, where customers will be able to use cash, gift cards or trade credits to purchase activation codes for PlayStation Network games and add-ons. All told, some 1,600 stores in Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria and Switzerland will soon be offering the ability to purchase content usually ordered from the comfort of your couch and Crash Bandicoot boxer shorts. The complete PR awaits you after the break.

Star Wars 1313 Website + New Info

http://www.lucasarts.com/games/1313/
Giantbomb said:
There’s been idle speculation about the Star Wars 1313 trademark floating around for a few months now. Is that the name of the fabled TV show, perhaps a new movie? Nope, it’s a game, and hopefully this is Clint Hocking's project.

Star Wars 1313 will be at E3, and is described by LucasArts as a “mature” take on Star Wars (the website has an age-gate), with players exploring a location called Level 1313 as a “lethal bounty hunter.”

"Star Wars 1313 dives into a part of the Star Wars mythos that we've always known existed, but never had a chance to visit,” said LucasArts president Paul Meegan in the announcement press release.

Are we looking at a Boba Fett adventure? LucasArts isn’t saying yet, but we should know more soon.

Maybe this is E3 2012’s Prey 2. No threats of encountering a guy named Tommy, either.
Forbes said:
Details are very, very scant, and we’ll be waiting for E3 for any kind of blockbuster reveals, but here’s what we know so far: it’s a third-person action adventure game where you play a bounty hunter that makes his kills with gadgets and weapons rather than any “force nonsense.” People have speculated that it might star Boba Fett, and this has neither been confirmed nor denied.

Tales of Xillia 2 Announced (PS3)
Quote
If you guessed Tales of Xillia 2 when Namco Bandai began its "Next Tales of" countdown, you were right! At todays' Tales of Festival event, series producer Hideo Baba confirmed the new game to be Tales of Xillia 2, and shared a first trailer.
The PS3 sequel will take place one year after the original's end. Characters introduced in a trailer include main character Ludgar, his cat Lulu, and a little girl who's said to be the key to the story, Elle.
(Note: In an earlier version of this story, we wrote that Elle is a main character like Ludgar. This appears to be incorrect. It's unclear if the game uses a dual main character system like the first Xillia).
You'll be able to make key choices with Ludgar using L1 and R1. One passage in the trailer involves a decision about using tomatoes in a recipe -- Elle apparently hates tomatoes. Another sequence shows a decision with greater effect -- you're given a choice of facing off against the enemy or backing off. The event proceeds differently depending on your selection.
During battle, Ludgar has a special "weapon shift" ability. He can switch between different weapons, including hammer, dual pistols and dual swords. The battle system in Xillia 2 is known as the "XDR LBMS," or "Cross Double Raid Linear Battle Motion System."
Ayumi Hamasaki will once again do the theme song honors on Xillia 2. Animation is being handled by Ufotable once again.
Although a Winter 2012 release time period was announced at today's broadcast, we'll get a specific date and price on June 27.
An official site for the new game will be opened shortly at tox2.tales-ch.jp.
