The stage link doesn't even work.

Are you saying that you didn't make the sff file then?

I find it hard to believe that a def file was not made.  You probably either didn't download it or erased it.

The def file you made is poorly done.  I can tell that you have no idea what you're doing.

The stage is grossly asymmetrical (boundleft should be the negative of boundright).  Player 1 has NO ROOM to move back.

Player 1 and Player 2 starting points are asymmetric as well (p1startx should be the negative of p2startx).

The main graphic is too small (less than 240 pixels vertically).  There are also multiple layers that are missing.

The animations do not work at all.  You messed up the animation definitions (do not use both spriteno and actionno) and set layerno's that don't exist.

So, in summary, you tried to make a def file for a sff that you didn't make yourself and messed up.  Go read mugen's background documentation, look at kfm's stage, and try looking at a useful tutorial like http://www.geocities.com/samus1978/help/menu.html before attempting another stage.  Also, make your own sff files.

You are correct.  Here is Kyo Kusanagi's site:
http://www.angelfire.com/ct3/tenjirou/

His zip comes with a def file (in case you want to see how the original author intended it).

I'm posting from work, so I can't try out your version, Mr. Sand.

Well it's good that you are trying to learn and contribute.
Your version looks good for a first try.
It does lack a certain bit of life, though.
If it had the animations and foreground elements of Kyo's version it would probably feel less empty.

Follow Ziltama's advice and link and I'm sure your next effort will be better.

I seriously doubt he recently put the def in there.  His last posting on the main page was Sept. 16th, 2003.
And the stage says, "Origin: Streets of Rage 2 Updated: 09/29/02,"

What is damaged?  I tried both just now, and neither of the versions have damaged files.
Do you mean his causes an error in your mugen?
The site says for "M.U.G.E.N: DOS 04.14.01" sometimes stuff made for DOS mugen has "\" for file paths, and that will crash winmugen.

Go to this part of his def and change this:

The think thats damage is the link.

because when I tryed to open it.

it said it was an invalid file.  :-\ .

Then after that I tryed with winrar and it said file unknown or damaged.

Strange. I don't know if I'm the only one having this problem, but anytime I visit his site and try to download his stuff, the pictures and wordings of the downloads on the left and right side are stuck together, one blocking the other. Therefore I can only download one because the two that are side by side have overlapped for some reason. It's not a browser issue, either. I have 3 different browser and the problem stays regardless of which one I use.

The site works fine for me in IE6.  Firefox displays it like you described though.
