Title: Saltyy's WIPs: CvS2 Strider

I've been starting out on my first real attempt at an SNK character, and I wanted to start out with Geese. I thought it would be nice to have another "boss" character in my MUGEN comp, so I'm starting to work on him. I've already made 12 palettes for both his regular and nightmare modes, but this time around I want to interact with the community.

Here is a template image of Geese. It would be incredibly epic of you all if you had the time, patience, and will to make some Geese pals. I'll include them in my Geese and credit you all for doing so. That's all. I hope you enjoy this character when I eventually release him.

I don't know what's with the overusage of the Double Reppuken Projectile (Mainly for the Shippuken) but he looks nice enough as of now.

Nightmare Geese will have overall faster movement, a higher defense and attack stat, and modified special moves and super moves. He won’t gain new moves this time around but will instead have modified, more powerful versions of his existing move set.
For example, the double reppuken is actually a double reppuken, meaning he shoots 2 reppukens. The Jaei-Ken is now a command grab. The shippuken is much faster, and overall Nightmare Geese will be much stronger and much more powerful than normal Geese, fitting for a final boss.

The custom counter super with the explosion is decent but it isn't the same.

For my next character I’ll be doing Shaquille O’Neal. Sounds stupid, but take into account I may have hit my head too hard while playing a basketball game when driving in for a layup. Of course, there’s only one set of sprites to use, and that is the Shaq Fu ones. The problem is that they’re just too small and too low definition to really be fitting of the style of character I am going for. Due to this, I will have to do one of two things. One, I commission someone to make higher quality sprites based off of the Shaq Fu ones, or alternatively buckle in and do them myself. At the moments it’s TBD, so here’s his small portrait. I uploaded this from my phone so it’s a jpeg. As of now I’m still wondering the route that this project will go, but as of now I feel confident that this can be done. This could very well change once I start really getting the scope of this project through my head, so I wouldn’t guarantee this character’s release right now. I’ll update you on the progress as soon as I can. Stay epic everyone.

Upgrading Shaq’s sprites would be cool. Same for the Michael Jackson sprites from Moonwalker I remember ppl using both these sprites.

If you’re looking for something to code that’s all set to go sprite wise, there’s some Eric Draven from The Crow movie sprites in CVS style as well as Pinhead sprites in CVS style that no one ever coded that I can send to you

I can say that Jthe's stuff are a mix of CvS2 with custom stuff. That's why is a "CvS2 Reimagining".

Is there a particular reason you’re giving him Sonic Booms? It seems out of place for a big dude such as him, for some reason. I imagine him more as a stereotypical big kinda-rushdown kinda-grappler heavy hitter. Plus, really, all his projectiles should really be basketball throws :P
The rest of the moveset seems on point. This may be the craziest idea ever, and I wholeheartedly support it.

Here's my WIP of Sagat. He is nowehere near done as you can see here. With M206's massive sprite collection I can do pretty much whatever I want in terms of making the character pop out more. I'm still experimenting his move set, however I have a good idea of all of his supers. His specials are still being fleshed out, and they don't even have EX versions. This is just to show you all big progress is being made, but not enough of it to be considered finished, so I'll get to that progress whenever I can. I know the many different moves M206 Sagat has, and I will take full advantage of the many sprites. Stay epic everyone.

I'm currently working on both Yuri and Ryo. I'm getting good progress with Yuri, with all her basic normals and specials being coded, though there's still a ton of things that need to be added, and this character is nowhere near finished. Once I finish Yuri, I am moving on to Ryo. I have all 12 pals for Yuri, however I only have 8 pals for Ryo. I haven't even started on Ryo, so that is why there is no progress video for Ryo yet. I provided a link for Yuri's pals because the image above have all the pals combined. Ryo's images are separated so you can download them each separately. While Ryo has an EX mode (Mr. Karate II) I'm planning for Yuri to not have an EX mode. For the small portraits, Yuri has 2 because I wanted to include the CvS2 one. Warusaki's small portrait for Yuri just looked off to me. But this is just in my opinion.
If you all have any suggestions on what you think I can do with Ryo or Yuri to make them stand out or to make them better, then I would love to hear it, because honestly I know some of yall are much more creative than I am, so hearing ideas from you guys would mean a lot to me.
That's just an update on what I'm doing right now, I hope that yall stay epic.

Just as a completely different side note, yes, I do have DIO. He’s been released like 3 or so times. He is very buggy, but does have a decent move set and combos. He has a completely new tandem system I made, my proudest super, and he will have CS. The homie Ryu made a CS for my DIO when him and I were porting my DIO over to Big Bang Beat x Street Fighter as a guest character, and he hasn’t given me the CS yet, but don’t worry. With enough bitching it will be mine.
I won’t start on him just yet. I still have a few other characters that need a release as well (Yuri, Ryo, Scorpion, Young Joseph), however since nobody else has tried to make a CvS DIO, I think it’s my time to step in and be the first. Technically I was the first to make a CvS DIO, but it was garbage, and I’m going to release him for the 4th time, and make him great again.
That’s about it for me. I just saw these combos in my Streamable and thought that they were really cool and that DIO would be a pretty interesting character to legitimately tackle. Stay epic.

I have finished all of Yuri's level 1 supers, and I am currently tackling her level 2 supers. The Haoh Raikoken is lacking in terms of impact, but I'm just giving you all the idea of what the move will look like. All her level 1 super are finished though. By finished, I mean they are playable. They need polishing, tweaking, and all that stuff that makes the supers look good. But I have made some very good progress on Yuri, and if I'm really fast, I can have her released at the end of this week, but of course you can't rush a potentially great character. Also, yes Hyakuretsu Binta is a super instead of a special I don't know why but I feel like it would be better as a super instead of a special.

I've been making decent progress on Ryo so far. I've gotten all of his basic normals, specials, and supers. Now there's room for me to add custom moves. This is still Normal Ryo, mind you, so I'm not doing anything for Mr. Karate II just yet. Right now, I'm just focusing on giving Ryo a move set to work with, so I can see what kind of unique spin I can give his game play. For example, Ko'oken will be a short ranged projectile like KOF '95. However, Karate II keeps the actual projectile Ko'oken. They both have their uses. EX Zanretsuken causes wall bounce, and the EX Moko Rajinsetsu causes a ground bounce. The move-set will surely be a challenge, yet I think I can get creative and give Ryo some cool combos and a fun game play. I think while I improved the look of Ichigeki Hissatsu (Ryo's big super punch), I still think there's more I can do with it to make the super impactful, considering it is a level 3, but as of now, I'm pretty satisfied with the progress I have made so far. Stay epic, gamers.

It’s a private CS I got from Ryu for now. It will be made available once I release Ryo altogether. I would recommend crediting Combos 4 Dayz for the CS work if you intend to use it, since they did the CS I’m using right now.

I've done all of Normal Ryo's supers. I still have a few things left to take care of with normal Ryo before I can move on to Mr. Karate II. But right now, these are normal Ryo's supers. He doesn't have much, and will obviously be much inferior to Karate II in terms of move set. This is the progress I'm at right now, so hopefully you like these supers, and also I do hope you will eventually like my take on Mr. Karate II.

I think his fist should glow with small embers or just glow. Indecating his about to release the explosion, from his straight punch. It would look more defined, and natural. Just saying, looking smooth so far.

For one of my next projects, I'll be updating a character that has been updated way too much. This DIO has a CS that has never been done this extensively thanks to Ryu from the Streets™ and RaZorbakk36, as they made the CS to this DIO. This DIO will hopefully be the final time I drastically update him, since he will have things like Tandem, and Stand mode. Now, I'm showing this CS because since it has never been released or done before, I'd be interested to see what palettes you all can come up for him. Of course I'll throw in my fair share of 12 but I'd be interested to see how others would make palettes for this new CS.

This is the CS palette of DIO. As you can see, he has a lot of different parts and colors to him. If any of you would like to make some DIO palettes using this CS, I would greatly appreciate it. Of course, I'm still working on Karate II and Ryo in general, but I wanted to bring this up since I'm nearly finished with Ryo.

Yes I will update my old DIO to fit my style of character that has been present in my more recent creations.

Here's my WIP of Sagat. He is nowehere near done as you can see here. With M206's massive sprite collection I can do pretty much whatever I want in terms of making the character pop out more. I'm still experimenting his move set, however I have a good idea of all of his supers. His specials are still being fleshed out, and they don't even have EX versions. This is just to show you all big progress is being made, but not enough of it to be considered finished, so I'll get to that progress whenever I can. I know the many different moves M206 Sagat has, and I will take full advantage of the many sprites. Stay epic everyone.

I've just noticed you added particles after Tiger Cannon! I really love it! I'll add them in my sagat too, i think i'll add in every single projectiles, even tiger shots. ;)
Of course I'll give you credit for the sprites, anim, and code. ;) ;)

So... I'm still on break, but I just wanted to drop a quick update.
KarmaCharmeleon, a good friend of mine, is currently making Haohmaru. She has said that her favorite SamSho game was 5 Special, and me, not knowing much about SamSho, inquired about this game. She said that I should give this game a try, and I did. Jokingly, I asked "Is there anyone who plays like Sagat?" and she unexpectedly gave me an answer, Ukyo Tachibana to be exact. I've heard of the name, but I never quite knew who he was. After Karma briefly explained to me why Ukyo is like Sagat, I tried out ssvsp and played Ukyo. She was not wrong. of course since I love Sagat's playstyle, I decided to have Ukyo be a planned character in the future. While I was at it, I just decided to make his palettes and small portrait and just leave it there. But yeah, I hope to make Ukyo in the future, as he will also be another cool SNK character I can make, and he will also be the first SamSho character I'll make as well, though I'm planning for his game play to resemble mainly 5 special, and throw in some elements that resemble CvS Haohmaru and Sagat in there while I'm at it. Stay epic.

I’m gonna try out making KOF chars.
First I’ll start out with Rugal. I have a good idea of what the plans will be for him, and the sort of system he will use.
This explains everything you need to know when it comes to the style Rugal will be:

You are given two different modes to choose from at the start of a match.
These modes are STANDARD and ADVANCED. These two modes hold very different mechanics entirely,
and each character using this style capitalizes off of these systems in very different ways.

Description: Standard Mode is good for people learning this new style. Essentially, it has pretty
simple tools and mechanics that aren't too heavy in execution to master.

Mechanics
==========

Dash -- Double tap forward and you do a quick hop step.

Roll -- Press A and C and you do a roll that evades all attacks, however you can
be thrown out of this roll.

Crushing Blow -- Press both B and D and you do a powerful attack that can link
into other attacks, however if blocked, this move is easily punishable.

Enhanced Specials -- Press 2 attack buttons instead of 1 when performing a special
to have an Enhanced Special. This move is generally more powerful than the regular
specials and has different properties. This move costs half a bar of meter.

Power Charge -- Hold A+B+C and you slowly begin to charge your power. It goes slow
in the beginning, but gets faster as you charge for longer.

MAX Super at 3 bars -- When you do a super with 2 attack buttons at full meter, you
perform a MAX super, which is a much more powerful version of the super you inputted for.

Tech Roll -- Press A and B when you are close to the ground and you perform a Tech Roll,
which helps you recover much quicker than before during a knockdown. By holding forward
or backward, you can change the direction you roll in. If you don't input a direction, it
defaults to a backwards roll.

Guard Counter -- Press both C and D when blocking and you perform a counter attack that will
hit the opponent. Since it's a counter, it's much more powerful than normal.

Description: Advanced mode is for people who have learned this character to a fair degree, and this
mode awards their skill with buffs that capitalize on very key aspects of the fight. Instead of 3 bars,
Advanced mode simplifies it to 1 bar, so meter gaining is heavily increased.

Mechanics
==========

Run -- Double tap and then hold forward to run. Let go of forward to stop running.

Dodge -- Press A and C and you will perform a quick dodge. You cannot be hit during this dodge, but you
can be thrown out of it. Press any attack button during the dodge, and you perform a Blowaway attack.

Increased Juggling -- Advanced Mode's main feature is the fact that it has advanced combos that can
deal a lot of damage in return for heavy execution. The juggle points are decreased, which allows for
much more combo creativity and variety.

Super Cancelling -- When performing a special, you can quickly perform a super command once the special
hits, and you will cancel into the super. This is a main part of Advanced mode's increased combo potential.

EX Mode -- When you have more than a full bar of eter, press A+B+C and you enter EX Mode. You get a
25% attack boost, and if you are lower than 25% health, then you can perform a MAX Super

Unlimited Lvl 1 Supers at Low Health -- When you are lower than 25% health, you can do as many
level 1 supers as you like, however these supers are nerfed slightly due to the fact that you can
access them for free, so these are like level 0.5 supers of you will. These supers no longer take
any meter, and once you've reached MAX mode, you can perform a MAX Super.

Stationary Tech -- Press A and B when you are close to the ground and you perform a Stationary Tech.
You'll recover much quicker, but you'll stand still.

Counter Movement -- Press both C and D when blocking and you perform a roll. By holding forward or backwards,
you can change which direction you roll. If you don't input anything, then it defaults to a forwards roll.

The full name of this character is actually "The CEO of KOF MUGEN", while its purpose is to make fun of the unoriginal and over-the-top nature of KOF MUGEN creations. Troy himself planned to send his own version of the character to SpriteClub, but it unfortunately didn't get accepted.

For this character Im going to put both Troy and I as the authors since the sprites are all made by him.
Troy is fully aware that I am making CEO, and he assisted in making new sprites for him that weren’t in his version (like the genocide cutter)

i've given CEO to Troy99 to edit. He's also going to show off a few combos along the way which I will post here.
I had to give the build a little early to him because of the fact that I got covid so I'll have to finish him once he's done editing, then give it to him again to edit and finish the job. I think Troy will make CEO a lot more epic since he's been in the "KOF MUGEN" environments more than I have, and is very knowledgeable on the subject.

this is Young Joseph's first AI test. I'm deciding to go early into his AI, which isn't recommended in character creation, but since I do play Young Joseph a lot in HFTF and I know how an optimal Young Joseph would play I already have a decent look at how the AI should work, and I'm just adjusting to the AI as I add more of his features.

funnily enough, despite being CvS2, this match against Nimame's Young Joseph plays very similarly to how an actual match would go between two really good Young Joseph players in HFTF. This is just a rather good update, and my health is slowly but surely rising, but it will take a few months before I am at my full 100%.

He has all specials and EX specials done, but I need to make his supers and once I'm done with that, touch up on the AI and overall polish him to finish up. It's going very slow right now, because the damn rona, but I think I've found a steady pace I can work at for now.

(to 0-87B) yeah that's one of Joseph's custom supers. It's not in the source game, and it is a reference to the manga/anime where Joseph pulls out a tommy gun and unloads it on Straizo, a good turned bad guy from part 1. This won't be his only custom super.

(to ShiroTori) yes I am using the MensClub CS of Young Joseph, I just decided to use 2 updated HFTF palettes for this gif because I like them. In the above posts, I do show his anime palette, with the separated parts included. If this answers any future questions, Young Joseph will also have an anime voice pack as well, which was a thing I did in both my old DIO and Hol Horse.

this is the last time I'll be posting about Joseph in the WIP thread, as all of his basic and advanced functions are done, and all I will do onward is polishing and any touches he needs. The plan is to have him released by the weekend and then take another break for the first half of February. I took another Covid test this week and if I do test negative, then I think I'll be able to make a swift return sooner than I thought. That's about it, Young Joseph is very close to completion, so this will be the last progress update on him.

since I wanted to start February off well before taking another break, I decided to get started on CvS Shingo. Those sprites made by Troy99 were just too good to pass up, and I decided that an opportunity was an opportunity. I'll finish and release the CEO some time in February, and if I can, I could possibly make Shingo in that time too, but that would be if I was still 100% healthy and such.

Speaking of my health, a quick update. After my third Covid test, it came back negative, so luckily I do not have Covid anymore, but the symptoms will still be lingering so the recovery will still be long but it's better to recover without Covid than having it. Thank you all for your prayers, and once I do recover fully, hopefully I can make up for that lost time.

getting more work done on shingo
the hits that turn the background black for a few seconds are shingo's critical hits, which is a unique feature that only shingo has in the KOF series. however, in source, critical hits were completely random, and i didn't want RNG to decide whether or not you land a decent combo, so instead, the condition of a critical hit is that you are in throwing range, and that your opponent has forward velocity. i'll add more conditions along the way, but this is one of them for now. adding a consistent method to critical hits are important for a CvS setting, and having randomness dictate such an important event isn't optimal.

Shingo's supers are almost complete, with his level 3 being the only one left.

His AI is also complete, and so far I think he's turning out well.

Hopefully this last stretch of progress will go as smooth as I hope, since this is going to be the first CvS Shingo with the new sprites. im going to add a major update to my characters, that being grooves, much like cvs2, but with a different sort of spin on them.
just like cvs2, there will be 6 grooves plus the 7th EX groove.
I will go more into detail of what each groove does in a readme file when all my characters are updated but I'll just give a quick explanation of them here:

S-Groove (Standard Groove) - the beginner groove. acts like CvS2 C-Groove with a tiered meter, but the level 2 super cancel is replaced with parries, which does sound like a lopsided tradeoff but there are ways to balance it out.
A-Groove (Advanced Groove) - the strongest groove of the 6. it is just like CvS2 A-Groove however you have access to level 2 supers and parries, making this by far the strongest groove, as the Custom Combo/Parry combination is very dangerous.
E-Groove (Extra Groove) - A combination of CvS2's S and N groove. MAX mode is the main feature of this groove, but has S-groove's power charge, which can be good for characters who not only reaped N-Groove benefits, but also would be solid in S-Groove.
C-Groove (Combo Groove) - A custom groove that allows for KOF 02/XIII type combos with more advanced cancelling and other combo opportunities, which can either make or break a character depending on their combo reliance.
J-Groove (JoJo Groove) - A groove based on Heritage for the Future. The main aspect of this groove is the guard push, allowing match pacing to be controlled in a more strategic way.
K-Groove (Kyanta 2 Groove) - A groove based on Ultra Fight da Kyanta 2. The main features of this groove are the Flash Bonus and Kyanta Cancel, with Flash Bonus being a way to gain meter and Kyanta Cancel being a way to extend combos.
EX-Groove (God Mode) - A groove that combines elements from all the other grooves. This groove closely resembles how my characters played preceding this major update.

This feature is experimental, so idk if I should keep it or not, but so far I think it’s going well thus far.

I wanted to add more uniqueness to my characters and adding a full groove system is what I thought was necessary to do so. It'll take a lot of balancing to make things even, and some characters will either get marginally buffed or nerfed with these changes (barring EX-Groove), but I believe I can make this work, although there's a chance that it might not work.
When I release Shingo, I also will have released a major all-character update, and I'm not just adding grooves to them, but also some other various updates.

Your groove systems are pretty interesting and innovative :truestory: I felt that a config file to allow players to either have options to decide the groove system they want such as able to select during the intro much like what you show in your video, letting players to choose their groove system by the config file such as for example:

And since we're on the topic of updating all characters, I think Rogue could benefit a lot from that. I really feel like she shouldn't be as tall as she is, especially since at that scale it would make other characters in the Kyanta cast look absolutely massive when they probably shouldn't be. I'd use Kyanta as a to-Ryu's-scale reference.

alright so now that i've done the character for the month, i really don't know where i'll go from here.

i do have a few characters i'd want to make in the future, like a CvS Rubber Soul, KOF Haohmaru, CvS Chang, or hell maybe even try to bring back the forgotten WIP that is CvS Scorpion.

idk I'll see where I go from here but if yall got any suggestions i'd take them because its a little bit wishy washy as to what i'll do next.

I joked about it on Discord, but maybe you could do something with that Sylvie spritesheet that was slapped onto a Benimaru. That was a major letdown, and I have no doubt you could do lightyears better.

alright i have a good list of characters i would want to make in the future. however, i just wanted to know which one i should make first so idk i felt a poll would be fitting for it in the end. these characters will all probably be made in the near future, but the one that has the most votes will be top priority.

I HAD to vote Khan. I just had to.

While I would love to see all of them, especially Peter, I really wanna see just how you would re-interpret/re-imagine someone like Khan. Would be such a treat to see that. I'm not even a JoJo fan but I've become fascinated with the fighting game, and my natural lean on low-tier/obscure characters just makes me very eager.

Even if he doesn't win this poll, I hope he stays on the backburner for an eventual project! Your call at the end of the day but damn it would be something spectacular.

thanks to the poll, my plan is to create one last wave of characters, aka the ones in this poll, then go on hiatus for a while. I've been making a lot recently and I'm starting to show signs of slowing down a bit unfortunately, so once I get these characters in I'll be out for a while, however I will come back with something good.
Thank you for the support you all have given me in this poll so far, it gives me a good idea of what kind of characters i should make in the future.

I’m thinking of how Khan’s gameplay would be like. In source, his only good normals were 2A (crouching light attack) and j.C (jumping heave attack). I’ll definitely make all of his buttons have some use, though I’ll have to make a few custom sprites to accommodate for the fact that he’s 6 buttons.

He’s going to be a neutral/rushdown oriented character and his buttons will have favorable frame data. I will still make 2A (which will by crouching light punch) and j.C (air hard punch) his best buttons to stay true to khan’s form, though his other buttons won’t be completely useless like in source. His combo game will still be the same, that being very limited to only a few combos and hit confirms. Also his counter move will be an interesting challenge for me.
Basically if you counter a move, you learn that move. If you block that same attack afterwards you can press an attack button in blockstun and counter it with the button you pressed. It’ll involve a lot of variable storage, though I can figure it out.

He will have more than a few custom supers to give a bit more variety to his move set. I haven’t really thought fully on that yet but he will have a fair amount of supers instead of just 2 like in source.

His mobility will get nerfed, but it will still be pretty high. His aerial spinny funny allowed him to move around the stage with ease, so aerial spinny funny’s mobility will be toned down. He will still have good mobility, not as much as source though.

That’s my initial plan for khan. I think this is a good start for the time being and I’ll build upon these initial ideas as character creation furthers in the process

Khan normals are near finished.
His normal strings are rather limited like in source. His cr.LP is cancelable into st.LP, st.MP and cr.LK. cr.LK is cancelable into itself only, and that's about it.

Crouching LP and Aerial HP are still his best buttons, with cr.MK being arguably the worst button of the bunch, however it retains it's range while being able to low-profile some attacks due to how the hitboxes were made on it.

I'll see what custom super moves I can make to give more variety to his move-set since his specials are sort of lacking in said variety.
His combo gave is sort of enhanced by his EX moves but still overall simple and nothing too crazy.

his normals will be rather average at best, exchanging good range for a majority normals having either low plus values or somewhat high minus values. he will still use these normals throughout his pressure, a key aspect of his game, with the normals that involve fake Hierophant being his better normals, however the normals that dont involve fake Heirophant are a crucial part of his combos. So basically one half of his normals are meant for his pressure game, and the other half is used for combo starters and set-ups. I'll try to get to his more advanced bits of his gameplay with his specials when I get to it.

hisomi's current state.

her normals are fairly versatile. she has anti airs, pokes, air-to-airs and more. her more notable normals are st.HP for anti-airing, cr.MK for poking, cr.HK for meaties that can be cancelled into safe specials, j.LP for jumping in, j.HP for crossups, j.MP/j.MK for air-to-airs, and cr.HP for meaties, blockstrings, and poking.

im working on fine tuning the normals for now but i know what direction im going to head in with the way i design these normals.

the majority of dio is finished or close to being finished, due to having my old shitty dio as a base to work off of, although most of his stuff is almost entirely overhauled and remade to be not shit. he's built to mainly be a rushdown combo freak, as his neutral and defense are only afterthoughts. sure his overall combo damage and mobility are significantly weaker than in his HFTF appearance, but its for the better. His Stand On is strong but not as essential to his game as Stand On was to vanilla ice. he also has a stand on attack, which is the equivalent of 236S in HFTF. instead of 2k, press 3k and the stand on attack activates. for dio, this is very important to his neutral, as it's 2f startup -3 ob fd makes it a very good poke. vanilla ice and boss ice will be updated to also have stand on attacks. that's mainly the gist for dio, i'll keep working on him and see what else i can do with him.

I say normal DIO because im planning to add an EX DIO, which will just be DIO but with more strength, defense, a slight regen mechanic, new specials and supers, better frame data on normals, etc. essentially im giving DIO the Shin Akuma treatment. once im done with that mode, DIO will be done.

workin on a little cvs2 adaptation of jotaro, its more or less here just to give my personal interpretation on how to implement a jojo/stand char into cvs2 and balance it.
so far normals are looking good but hes still incredibly incomplete and in the very early stages of creation.

stand off specials are finished, working on stand on specials now, they'll be modified from the stand off specials, however time stop reversal will not be possible in stand on mode.
ora-ora had some wacky stuff going on during initial development, infinites were discovered but i had to rectify it through making Star Platinum's recovery on his ora-ora really long, so if you wanted to know why he stays there for longer than normal, that is why.
also, the star finger 50/50 mixup will not be possible with this jotaro, while it was a main part of his okizeme and gameplan from HFTF this type of mixup is something that would be very overpowered in CvS2. Your only option of a crouching move is cr.LP, and it does not hit low, and st.MK (which is 6B in source) does not hit low anymore, so you only have your overhead, so I'm sure there's ways of mixing using star finger just not the way HFTF had it.

Only super left is time stop, which should be simple as I can take the code from my DIO.
After that I'm making the AI, then testing for bugs and oversights and any other additional touch-ups.

Also I made a usable run animation for Jotaro, which was something I dreaded starting this project. It took a while to draw new leg sprites and using stuff from his other motions, but I think this is good for now, I'll modify the sprite as I see fit later on when I'm done with all the main stuff.

i'll look into that. i do have warusaki's cvs2 vice in my chars folder, just not in my main roster. i'll check her run sprites and see if i can translate the motion of the legs to jotaro.
