Nothing is ever over, there's always some little things you'll want to fix until the last second. And even long after that last second. Even if you add more seconds to push that limit back, you'll still find more things to change afterward.
I guess their boss just said one day "okay, that's enough, finished or not, this is what we'll release, the rest will be in patches".

Nothing is ever over, there's always some little things you'll want to fix until the last second. And even long after that last second. Even if you add more seconds to push that limit back, you'll still find more things to change afterward.
I guess their boss just said one day "okay, that's enough, finished or not, this is what we'll release, the rest will be in patches".

If they hadn't explicitly given the reason for the delay as 'Day 1 patches are unfair and we don't want to do that to our audience', then sure. I don't mind them, but what a bunch of fucking hypocrites

Street Date is broken since several days ago around here in Perú. Still, if I waited 10 years I can wait a few more days.

Patch 1.02 is a thing, so you have to download around 16 GB already on day one through two patches.

Game's playable without the 1.02 patch, and you get a goblin killing area to get used to the combat while you wait for the first area to install. Overall took about 20 minutes messing around with weapons and parrying and warping before starting the game proper.

Which btw, love it so far.

Spears are so much fucking fun. Slow attacks on the ground, but some of them launch you into the air, where you become untouchable if you've got airstep. You're practically a Dragoon, it's awesome.

Base game is playable yes.. but saves are incompatible with the patch.
Played it on launch night, made a save. Resumed said save after the update. I have no idea what you're talking about.
