Black Heart is mostly good because of how charismatic the characters are and the simple gameplay. I know Borghi probably wants to tweak the game a bit more anyway. I cant talk about SHADES because I have yet to try it out (I refused to play the first one, I hope the second to be a blast compared to the prequel).

About X-Men second coming, I tested the game a few days ago, deleted it and then got it again at my friend's house because they wanted to LOL at something funny, the whole game is a mess which is a shame because the game has alot of original or tweaked content (Sprite edits, original awesome music, new moves, a story, endings, great artwork, bonus round style stages), this game is one of those that show how a game can have lots of interesting features yet ultimatelly suck because of bad coding (Which is the part that requires less resources as you dont really need anything else than Notepad in order to code a char correctly).

I'll post a few others that failed to amuse me yet aren't complete garbage once I find the links (Funny no one metioned KOFZ yet).

SHADES is my favorite full Mugen. Also, you can try and play the MS Paint Mugen beta. That is a lot of fun as well.

- DBZ 2005 demo by Roken & Cie : efficient gameplay, very nice graphics, and a common system for a very nice demo which we've been waiting for an update for 5 years now ...

- KOF 2009 by K.O.D : abandonned beta, with well coded KOF chars and a full game feel.
- KOF Nests Conclusion by Rednavi : oh wait, it's not out yet. ;P Go look at the WIP section for more info.
- KOF Edition by Swipergod : slowly going its way, a KOF compilation at first, but with very heavy edits (not to say recoding) to make a full KOF game with aunified system.
- Ultimate Garou by IronMugen

- Mortal Kombat 2 by juano16 : MK2 recreated in Mugen.

- SF2Nes by Bia & Caddie : wonderful game with lovely old style graphics. Very combo friendly and with a great system.
- Street Fighter Alpha 4 by BlackChaos : SFA3 accurate for most sutff, but with new graphics, rage moves and whatnot. Definitely worth the check.

- Babel Sword by Tatsu : a shooter made in Mugen. Maybe the most imaginative stuff made in the Mugen engine. Great stuff here, too bad it's in Japanese.

- CastleVania by Serio : nuff said.

- Nijikaku : a game built with custom characters using Japanese memes. 95% of the characters are real shit, but the game must be seen just for the LOL factor. :yes:

- Samurai Shodown Project 004 by recruta42 : the most accurate Samurai Shodown chars in a fullgame. Too bad it's discontinued.

- Shades of Manhattan : the first one had potential, but lacked the polishing. The upcoming SoM2 game will feature a whole graphics overall, more characters, more balance, and is overall just a new and better game. Great creativity, great spriting and story, good coding.

- The Black Heart by Borghi : what a full game is all about : 100% custom, charismatic characters, wonderful story, simple gameplay for quick play in this case.

I didnt update my castlevania mugen in years, I didnt know the guy was still around. The update date is feb 2001 si I'll give it a try. Hopefully the guy got more experience at P.I. and mugen coding in general by now.

Serio is a frequent poster at Elecbyte's forum. So yeah, he's active. He just doesn't join MFG or MI.

I don't blame him. Its easy to look at the community and assume everyone is just some sort of "collector" of ridiculous Orochi/God type characters that upload God-Awful gameplay videos with the most random blaring music. Thankfully I've been here long enough to know that only like 90% of the community is like that. :sugoi:
