Hi, does anyone still play Real Bout Fatal Fury Special or 2? and is anyone a Yamazaki's player? I am using Yamazaki in those two games and have trouble performing his Drill which I need to tap the strong attack button repeatably fast in order to perform his LV 4 (multiple arm attacks) and 5 (multiple projectiles attacks) drill as shown in 1:06: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ih3snN4QBmc and does anyone manage to perform his LV4 to 5 drill? It is quite difficult to perform to me, everytime I only manage to get his Lv1 to Lv3 (multiple head butts) Drill
-
It is really hard to do. No secret behind it.
-
only thing i can suggest is getting a pad with turbo function
or press reeeealy fast until you blister
-
It's easier to do with an arcade stick, I can at least tell you that much.
Mashing takes little to no effort and is really fast with the right buttons (Sanwa)
-
I did try using joystick too, it is the same, Lv 2 to Lv3 only but if I want to do it really fast, my poor Gamepad and Joystick button will be damage :P

I don't have any pad with turbo function, I might buy one if possible :P I remembered I play it with a game pad and press the button really fast until I had blister and it is still the same, LV 2 to Lv 3's drill

It's not that hard to do with a pad (Mash buttons, then ABC at the same time for LV5), you just need to practice.
Now Akane's Critical Heart in AH3? That's impossible.

I've seen a lot of people dismiss how hard it is to do Yama's level 4 P Power before, but at the very least they say they use a stick. "It's not that hard to do with a pad" is such bullshit that I made a video of it, learned how to do picture in picture videos, made a video showing me attempting the level 4 with my button tapping on screen in the corner, and posted it to youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygQGFa7XTUI (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygQGFa7XTUI)
Skip to 2:40 if you wanna just see my attempts at it. Come on, look at that button tapping. I should be doing the level 4 every time but I only pull it off twice out of 8 or so.
And don't even pretend that level 5 is possible with a pad. He doesn't even blink red in the video. If you see someone immediately get to level 4 stance and start blinking red wildly, they're PROBABLY using turbo.
...Of course I accept that I could be wrong about all of that and not be as good at button tapping as I am. Anyone feel free to make a counter video if that's the case.

... Is that... a joystick with the buttons on the LEFT side??? o_O Or was the recording mirrored?
-
Mirrored.

Sometimes I miss LV5 because it's hard to put my fingers back to normal position (I assign C to the square button. Also, I use my thumb. Why are you using your middle finger? That looks kinda uncomfortable) and, but other than that I can pull a LV4 often.
Anyways, from what I can see, you should be (barely) pulling a LV4 drill. It's just 13 taps of the C Button. There's plenty of time to do it, as long as you know how to uh.. vibrate your hand. Also, it could be your pad.
-
Definitely not my pad, it's a nearly brand new logitech pad. How can you button mash with your thumb faster than with your fingers? o_O

But only a 3 is coming out. See why I say it's difficult? I would like to see you doing level 5s.

I was holding my iPod with the other hand, so excuse the shaky camera. I didn't try to get the Level 5 because I don't know the command, but I believe the red blinking should signal that a level 5 would work.

I accept that it's easier to do on an arcade stick. I don't accept that it's "not too hard" to do on a gamepad. :-X
Also, you flash red at the end. Probably not enough time to do level 5, but the command for it is:
When you're flashing red, press a, b, and c at the same time.
Are you using two fingers or one? Also, are you press two buttons or one? It looks like you're tapping two buttons. o_O The way I've always understood the move is if you tap any button but C, outside of the level 5 command, the taps reset. I could be wrong about that.
-
I used my middle and index to press the C button. I'm just alternating because it's faster. :P
Edit: And now I miss playing this game. :(
-
Anytime you wanna play, just ask. ;D
Btw I got rid of the video because it was dumb and I hated it.
-
I downloaded the video using IDM and now I'm gonna upload it back online

The level 5 drill works after tapping to the fourth drill and press ABC together I think as I got this information in gamefaqs:
This move is very hard to pull off. In order to pull this off you must
have your machine gun fingers ready. The damage is a little more than the Level
4 Drill. Caution: When you press ABC before reaching Level 4 Drill Ryuji will
drop back down to Level 1 Drill. I suggest that you observe Ryuji himself while
tapping the C button. When Ryuji turns red that indicates that he's reached
Level 4. During this instant you can press ABC then enjoy the sight of Ryuji
Yamazaki going all out of kicking his opponent's ass! Don't break any fingers
now! You know SNK is not responsible for injuries while performing Drill
Levels!

I still can't get to do the level 4 drill as I use the method that you use your middle and index middle to rapidly tap the C button, alternating? do you mean you adjust your joystick button a bit to be able to tap it easily? I am still playing this game on and off with my friend recently in ps2 Fatal Fury Battle Archive 2 and have fun using Yamazaki. :dio: In kof game he appear, it is much easier to do his drills because there are two punches buttons to tap both of them rapidly to make it faster to execute all his drills dm/sdm.

I do nothing to the button, I just press it really fast with my index and middle.

Thank you for showing my IP to everybody BTW :P
Which is dynamic, so...

That image was edited TRICE so you don't really know what was displayed :P (Hostname for example).
