Man this is one cool stage. Once I added that bgm you suggested it was golden. Might be great with some zoom. But like most of your stages it slowed my lame PC down.

But like most of your stages it slowed my lame PC down.

I'm not gonna lie, I thought the big bald head was gonna be Saikoro's at first.  Good shit either way, but I think you could shorten it a bit and add some parallax to the floor.

I'm inclined to agree with this. Except the part about Sai. Although that was indeed funny.

Oh my god, my sides.

Good shit either way, but I think you could shorten it a bit and add some parallax to the floor.
Shorten? You're referring to the actual stage length, right? As for parallax, I think i'm not ready for that. I haven't completely understood the code yet.

Don't be a blue eyed sweggin' feg.
Add some damn screenshots Mark.

EDIT: also, PM me that universal parallax code you were telling me about.
Title: Re: A stage that shows appreciation towards Steam's Holiday Sale
Post by: Markpachi on January 01, 2014, 03:07:43 pm
It's wasn't a universal parallax code, you'll still need to adjust it. It's only a matter of trial and error though, and it'll only take like seconds.

Omg. This stage. Gawd. @__@

All you need to do now is just replace that Colossal Gaben sprite with the titan one and you've made the first AoT stage :stare:
Title: Re: A stage that shows appreciation towards Steam's Holiday Sale
Post by: Markpachi on January 01, 2014, 03:42:28 pm
You wanna hear something funny? I actually have a sprite for the original Colossal Titan, but I didn't include it in the final product because i'm a douche.

Should I make another version for the legit AoT stage?

EDIT:

Here it is.

It's eyes are weird :stare:
Man, why the hell didn't you include that as a separate version?? >:C

EDIT: Try rendering this

I'll try to find a good render for you. OR you could pull the easy way and just make his eyes a solid color, like just make them glow red or green or w/e cuz those eyes look really annoying right now

Asian Colossal Titan.
Seriously though, what's weird with it?

Man, why the hell didn't you include that as a separate version?? >:C

Eww, that Colossal Titan art looks horrible IMO. Plus I kinda like the eyes in my version. It reminds me of the manga.

Re-read my post. The eyes are too human like, just make them glow a single color.
Title: Re: A stage that shows appreciation towards Steam's Holiday Sale
Post by: Markpachi on January 01, 2014, 04:06:40 pm
What if I make them glow red/blue/green?

Also, the eyes were like that in the anime! Hell, even in the shitty manga!

I'm going to remove the eye glow.

Nice stage! The Colossal Titan needs steam coming from him when he first appears and it be nice if you added his giant hand some where on the floor with steam coming out of it.

Ima liking ow it look at the 2nd screenshot more XD
Not sure if this shows on the anime (cuz i read the manga only :P)
Could add a small fence wall made of the same tile as the floor also the floor perpective too a bit weird
imo.

Thanks! I actually planned on doing that, but my video editing software is fucked up. I want to re-download it, but i'm downloading a whole lot of other stuff. Maybe in the future.

Duuude, I can imagine it already, Right at the right end of the stage, that part will be blocked by his giant finger! I'll look for some hands right now just to implement that idea.

Give him a cigar just like my ava image lol just JK

:mmhmm:

Fence wall? Hmm, i'm not sure if that was shown in the anime. Could you provide a screenshot of what you're talking about? As for the perspective of the floor, I think it looks fine.

He doesn't need any fence. The wall in the manga/anime was like that.
The hand sounds like a good idea too. Add some earthquakes 'n shit too

as i said i dunno how called they.
Title: Re: Colossal Titan Appears / Attack on Gaben
Post by: Markpachi on January 01, 2014, 07:08:26 pm
I've checked it in the Anime. Shit, there ARE elevated parts! AND TURRETS! AAAAND CRATES.

How did I miss those? :embarrassed2:
Ehh whatever, i'm not gonna add the elevated parts because of parallax. As for the Colossal Titan's hand, i'm having a hard time finding high quality hands that suit the stage's style. And like I said earlier about the Titan's steam, I don't have a video editing software right now.
Title: Re: Colossal Titan Appears / Attack on Gaben
Post by: Watta on January 01, 2014, 07:12:45 pm
The steam ain't much of a problem. Finding a hand shouldn't be too hard too, though I think you can't do anything about the elevated parts.
Title: Re: Colossal Titan Appears / Attack on Gaben
Post by: Markpachi on January 01, 2014, 07:14:12 pm
Yeah, that's why i'm not adding that to the stage. And right now, which stage should I prioritize? Fortress or Avalon? HURRY UP AND DECIDE!!!!1!
Title: Re: Colossal Titan Appears / Attack on Gaben
Post by: Watta on January 01, 2014, 07:17:29 pm
FORTRESS!!! Just fix the water and mountain reflections and it should be more than good enough for a decent release! We'll just apply the updates at some other point

B-but my perfectionist side's gonna kick in, and will want to recolor the water in different shades of red and orange! And Camtasia's not the only thing I need, I also use Sony Vegas and a little bit of AE.

Bcoz u dont PAY anehoght attention.

Ehh whatever, i'm not gonna add the elevated parts because of parallax.
Eh? what are u talking about?
U can add it as other layer or layers (incase RGB) regardless of the Parallax.
Unleast you actually mean you dont have suitable Parts/resources that could fit there.

The timing was actually intentional on my end, so that the Colossal Titan would appear once the round starts. If you want to edit it, go ahead.

I don't think I get much lighter than the default screenpack.

I wish I had the money to do that.
