Title: Blackjack trick for stages.

Hi, here's a trick to make somewhat an effect like GGXX where you pass behind a solid object and the character and/or lifebars look trought it as if it were transparent:

(http://img39.picoodle.com/img/img39/9/8/2/f_mugen1m_34d65db.jpg)

Basically what you do is, when you have the layer that you want to make transparent (the one you wanna place in front as layerno=1), copy/paste it other two times. Example:

BG normal:

Code:
[BG Tree]

type = normal
spriteno =1,1
start =0, 240
mask  = 1
layerno = 1

And then you modify some stuff:

Code:
[BG Tree]

type = normal
spriteno =1,1
start =0, 240
mask  = 1
layerno = 0
trans = none

[BG Tree]

type = normal
spriteno =1,1
start =0, 240
mask  = 1
layerno = 0
trans = sub

[BG Tree]

type = normal
spriteno =1,1
start =0, 240
mask  = 1
layerno = 1
trans = add1

The explanation is as follows:

- Normal bg (without transparency and layerno=0) is for the layers to not look transparent relating to the main background.
- Sub bg (with layerno=0) is to make the add1 layer to not be much brighter than the original image.
- add1 bg (with layerno=1) is to be the transparent layer that is in front of the characters.
