Net was down so I didn't see what happened, can someone fill me in?  From what I've heard so far it doesn't seem newsworthy, but people are saying a lot of stupid shit.

S.D.

Shit is a fraud and everything is acted.

I was up watching it on the stream.

Arturo exposes Mike Ross and Jago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AOZzIvK5r4

About how Mike and Jago are cool, but are just acting for esports. After that the stream monsters went crazy saying everything is fake. Someone even went as far to say that the Daigo vs Justin wong 3rd strike parry was staged too.

Now pro's are popping up on twitter claiming that their evo loses/major loses and wins were staged as jokes because of this.

GOH

Wow. Just when I was watching the Ross/Jago match.

Iced

Someone translate that to who has no idea who those persons are.

AcidGlow explains more about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dcmB25T_Pg

There are 4 videos of LI Joe talking to triforce, Arturo, Mike ross, and other people about the situation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTpjjmYFS0I

I'll have to watch it later. Holy Shit.

"Clockwork just reached his hand over here like Dhalsim and punched me in the face!!"

I don't see how that would help you understand it better but Mike Ross is a pro player and Andre "Jago" Lambert is a pro player and they're rivals but maybe they're not???

Street fighting is all about analysis, prediction, and reaction. That's it.

  • fake drama between mikeross and jago created by sandbagging/possible split pot
  • arturo being hungry for drama streams evidence to the above
  • streammonsters go insane for some reason
  • ESPOORTTSSS
  • the #illuminati is covering up all traces of this and failing

basically the whole thing is kind of ridiculous, sad and not worth the attention/a separate thread/effort put into this post
its indicative of the new trend the fgc has taken; the very existence of cross assault proves this

temp all I took from the video, without knowing them, was that they were idiots talking about acting.

Now I understand those two were fighting for money, faked the fight, staged the whole shit and then split the money.
I actually saw that fight, but I didnt remember the fighters names.  It looked like a fake rivalry, but i thought one of them just outclassed the other.

If they are pulling some wrestling shit in this, its pretty shitty.

Duo Solo

So why is the FGC up in arms about eSports? From what I can tell, it seemed like it helped the community grow which is always a good thing.

What you wanted to know and what you asked were 2 different things.

The FGC is up in arms about everything. This isn't really surprising.

Your answer helped a lot, i just didnt correlate them with the guys from the match.Thank you <3

Montie-Kin

I think that it was probably staged but I can also understand their reasons for doing it. Self promotion, hype, more money etc. If it's only between these 2 guys, then I couldn't care less about what they're doing. As long as it doesn't taint the sport as a whole, I'm fine with it... but other players might catch on and start doing this as well. I don't want to watch a bunch of sandbagging matches in the near future.

Person Man

Captain Beardo looks tickled as hell.

Salty in the back is not impressed.

Why is Ono dressed as Blanka?
I think the real question is why isn't Ono ALWAYS dressed as Blanka?

LurkerSupreme

So Super Yan quit cross assualt and Dr. Sub Zero is back in the competiton. Ok. :S

SNT

Super Yan signed on for a fun time with X Tekken and a chance at $25k, not a weekend  being paraded over guys like Bronson and 200Yen just for being a girl, trapped in a room with a known creeper.  Her opting to leave is fair enough.

Bigger news: Dr Sub Zero is actually on Team Tekken now, as he threatened to do before.
