We gamers have been these sit situations several times. Whether if you fighting someone with a rate of 1 or 2% (Or even higher). Or having a VERY BAD losing streak. Or facing a penalty due to a disconnection of a fight. But these things represents questions like:

  • What the hell is up with these rage quitters?!
  • How do I get lower my disconnection rate back to 0%?
  • Am I stuck with my disconnection rate forever?!
  • Why do people send hatemail?
  • Why do I always get diconnected?
I'm going through some of this right now...
I wanna talk about this topic, because alot of people are going through this crap! Mainly TTT2 and SFxT (Vita).

For TTT2, a big misunderstanding came in the way. I was in a battle then I lost. --;
It was upload data to leaderboards and it FAILED! :veryangry: (Which explains why I got a disconnection rate of 3.3%!)

And for SFxT, the battle was over, I drop my Vita, which made it press the PS Button! (Which explains why my disconnection rate is at not only 1%, but 2%!) :wall:

So, how do I get rid of it? (Or I'm stuck with it forever...)
And do you ever get disconnected at the wrong frickin time and/or got hatemail?

It's pretty easy to tell which people are ragequitters in games that have a visible disconnect rate (~10% is when it becomes pretty obvious). 1-2% won't affect people's desire to play with you much at all.
you can't mixup a blind man, and you can't out think a brick ~skisonic
Street fighting is all about analysis, prediction, and reaction. That's it.

What developers could do is detect how you were disconnected (either you quit or it was your connection), and have two categories of disconnection rates. Then they can put you against other quitters or people who bad internet so it's fair, like how some games have lower priority queues for people who quit.

Of course I'm not a developer and I have no clue how they do this (check if the disconnection was through the menu? I don't know.)

Darkflare

A system like that could be pretty easy to cheat.

I think SFxT is doing a combination of both... SUCKS!

it's been used a couple times if I remember, but I've never been in either queue so I don't know how successful it actually is in practice.

What about TTT2? That game gave us gamers unfair punishments online!

Bannana

What punishments?
I picked up TTT2 in December and I played 5 games online before getting bored of fighting the same people because everyone already played it to death.
(I don't really play fighting games online, I usually like to go to the arcade to play against other people)

Arcades are alive in your area?

Likewise. I'd give my left nut to see a arcade again.

I've lived 30 minutes away from the Santa Cruz arcade my entire life, which is one of the biggest in California.

Though I'm in SF now so I don't know where the arcades are. I heard there was a GG scene somewhere, but I don't know for sure.

What do you mean what punishments? That game can give off diconnection rates if ragequitting too.
BTW, I thought there IS a way lower your disconnection rate. Like playing the hell out of ranked matches.

False. You can fix your rate by playing matches and finishing them. Finish more matches or wait a few days and it goes back to 0%.

My PS3 used to freeze while playing ranked matches in SF4 on the PS3 and I got 3% disconnect rate. After a couple of days it went back to 0%.

Too bad its sucked for over 8 years.  Any Golfland in the Bay Area beats out Cruz's arcade.

And on topis of people sending hate massages of winning/losing, either play it off by messaging back stuff like "lol" or whatever, or actually be witty and respond to them without swearing.  Nothing shows you're a fucking dingus like swearing back/to them.

Personally, I save all of the hate mail I get.  I find it all rather amusing.

Why would you wanna save the hatemail? Well for me, I block them to prevent them from saying anything else. Then hours later, I delete them off my blocked list and delete their hatemail.

It's a way so I can forget about who they are or what they sent me, so I can just move on.

Bastard Mami

there comes a time in life when you find people getting pissed off over inane stuff amusing.

That must have been a bug, since there's no way you should have 0% if you have "accidently" D/C even once.

Hate mails are medals of accomplishment on succeeding to piss somebody off through your sheer skill further cementing your superiority over the person that sent you hate mail.

I just laugh, send a witty response, block the person and delete it later.

we only have 3 arcades here in my city,House of the dead,Formula 1 ,and a foot ball arcade.
But now Arcade stores here are filled with PS3 and Xbox 360-s so you pay to play them.
