DMK

Meh, I got it off Amazon myself.

Got here in less then a week.

But either one are probably the best fighting game the DS has had.

Also I'd like to quote a friend.

Awful localized voices are awful (Voices in fighting games shouldn't be localized, IMHO) /weeaboo

Also, Bleach DS 1 is so broken is not funny, especially when people abuse the card system for stupid infinites, Aizen is ugly and cheap and...I could go on but...yeah, DS2 fixed tons of stuff, gave more frames to Kenpachi and Byakuya...but sadly, nerfed Ukitake a lot, Maybe they'll fix him in Bleach DS3

DMK

Bleach DS 3 is sadly a RPG that uses the old Bleach DS 1 and 2 sprites.

No idea if adding new characters even.  o_O

Treasure isn't working on it from what I heard.

So another Sega bomb.

Cue whistle of bomb droping.

Meh, everyone complains about the voices. They're very good for a dub, even if you find them terrible compared to the originals.
Anyway, they're apparently fixing a lot of gameplay things in Blade of Fate compared to Japanese BDS 1st. A lot of broken moves are toned down, and from the vids shown so far RF attacks seem to hit shunpo like BDS 2nd, so it's probably good. And the card system? No one who plays Bleach regularly and well uses cards. Ever. And BDS 2nd Ukitake isn't nerfed a lot, most everyone else was nerfed more and his standing heavy makes up for most of his losses. (Though the 70 or so damage Star was lovely...)
I'm making exact as possible Bleach DS 2nd characters. Contact me if you have any ideas, suggestions, or whatever.

1. Kon 98%
2. Byakuya 90%
3. Ikkaku 80%
4. Ukitake 0% Uki was always here and did not steal Kanonji's spot. >__>
5. Kanonji 0%
(ahahaha this sig is 5 million years old just pretend it doesn't exist)

DMK

Yeah, get more out of stuff with just attacking head on I find personaly.

There are some who add attack amongest other things but I can beat most things on there even with the hardest difficulty.

If you mean Bleach: The 3rd Phantom, yeah is not even being done by Treasure, so I doubt it counts.

And yeah, they're using sprites from the fighting game, at lest the original characters can be used for something.

Izlude

I'll say it again.

Ishida is god-tier.

Spam energy arrows in the air.

Awesome.

Ishida is god-tier.
He isn't, play more against japanese people.
Everyone uses Kenpachi, Genryusai or Byakuya without card spamming.
And with card spam, SoiFon and Hinamori.

Izlude

Buncha nonsense. Ishida is greatness in this game. Besides, Japanese players will only lag me. Not like being Japanese means their skill level is any greater anyways regardless what top tier character they use.

I actually read that Ishida is bottom tier... ptooie! I spite at tier listings! The Quincy is capable of taking on gods I tell you!

MvC2 Tron Bonne, MvC Kim Kaphwan, Barns (Destruction Desire),
and Burai Yamamoto (Arranged)

Whatever you say, play against skilled people, Ishida sucks, period.

Heck, Ukitake sucks (and sucks even more in DS2 because he does less damage) and usually it's my main character.

Is Bleach DS good?If it is how much is it?

If you can play a supposed sucky bottom tier character skillfully against skilled players using top tiers, then that would have to mean you're pretty good, rite? Although I think Bleach DS is actually a pretty balanced little fighter, when you set the cards aside that is.

It's the best fighting game on the DS next to Jump Ultimate Stars. You could probably pick it up for 20-30 dollars.

The deal is you can't (Against someone skilled)

Arrow rain will be dodged easily with line shift or shunpo guard cancel, if a good player sees Ishida doing the super armor thing they'll either lanch a Lv3 super immediatly or shunpo right next to you and grab...while regular people will start a generic combo starting with light attacks, which yes and end up with 'em punished.

He has some nasty infinites with cards, but meh, 90% of the guys have it.

Putting aside joke characters, it's more or less balanced, with some exceptions.
Now Bleach DS2 is more balanced, but I still say it was a retarded move to nerf Ukitake, he already had the disadvantages of:
1. Poor defense
2. The friggin' coughs every now and then that won't let you pull a move and ends up with him being unable to fight for one second (plenty of time to be killed if you don't have bars to cancel their combo)
He had medium/high damage specials to make up for that....and in DS2 they gave him regular damage, ugh.
Quote from: Izlude on October 11, 2007, 05:22:48 AMwhen you set the cards aside that is.
They shouldn't be there, Treasure fucked up when they added stuff like, instant 100% Reiatsu (HATE Hinamori users that spam her Lv3 super and kill you in 10 seconds with pure chipping damage)/Shunpo cards (Bankai Ichigo rape), no block (Kenpachi lock), multi-hit elemental attacks that end in simple infinites (Using SoiFon's Slide+ Poison card, Fire card and Genryusai)
Same for the special move shortcuts in the touchscreen...commands should take some effort to pull, not a plain PRESS BUTTON TOUCH SCREEN, RECEIVE LV3 SUPER.

Uryuu was high tier in BDS along with the likes of Soifon. His arrow rain was awesomeness since he could turn fire it in the corner and combo it, and Ransou Tengai was just annoying to deal with. BDS 2nd, he got nerfed, badly, to the low end of mid tier. No more free arrow linking, Ransou Tengai requires RF AND has cooldown, and no more turn fire arrow rain. He's still very much playable, medium special C is very nice and there's about 3 setups for Super A that are quite plausible if you've got some skill, but he's pretty terrible overall.
In English BDS 1st he has his old normals that can be repeatedly fired, BDS 2nd arrow rain, and Ransou Tengai doesn't take RF but can't be stacked and has cool down, so this is definitely the most balanced form.

But Uryuu was never the best character, Izlude. BDS 1st? Kenpachi. Kenpachi is like if you put an overpowered Mugen character in a retail fighting game. BDS 2nd he's not even in the running, and English BDS 1st he's good again, but at the least Aizen has him beat (Aizen looks like he's shaping up to be the best character, though he'll be less cheesy than Japanese BDS 1st)

And Kyouya... do you... PLAY Ukitake? He's still high mid tier in Bleach DS 2nd, and if you cough with him, EVER, you're doing it wrong. His advaning standing heavy in BDS 2nd is almost worth the cut down super damage, and, keep in mind, almost EVERYONE (except Hitsugaya lol) got nerfed between BDS and BDS 2nd. Lemme put it this way: In a fairly matched fight in BDs 1st, if one player is Uki he'll hit zero or one supers the entire match because every one will be DC'd, so you're basically fighting without supers anyway, just using them as a threat to keep your opponents super usage in check. Yet Ukitake could still hold his own as a good character; and in 2nd he lost some of the threat of the over-damaging supers, gained some actual ground comboability, and can actually hit with his Supers that do a little above average damage. Personally I don't think he moved at all in the tier list between games.

Cards really don't count, no one who takes the game seriously uses cards. They made a good attempt to fix them in BDS 2nd, but mostly made them useless or annoying. But I'd rather not argue the touch screen shortcuts with you, they put a limiter on it in BDS 2nd and you can't use it for guard cancel, and it makes supers easier to do in difficult combos, or to combo an attack to a super with frames between then (Tatsuki light knee special to SU-A comes to mind) And without the touchscreen one of Ukitake's best combos wouldn't be possible. It's a unique aspect about BDS and it makes the game more fun. Using it almost exclusively is idiotic, though.

Hrm... You seem to know a lot about this game, Kyouya. Have you visited the BDS/2nd board on GFAQs?

Oh god, Kenpachi...he's is a monster with his A super, the one that lets him chain attacks over over and over.

I know there's a chart about coughing with Ukitake (Most obvious is if you spam his super....A or B I don't remember)
Is just that sometimes, I tend to spam his special C (horizontal slash, awesome range and fast, decent damage, great for many stuff).
Also, I have a very bad habit with the shunpo bar and don't use it enough...mostly for guard cancelling but rarely for combos, I tend to do short but damaging ones (One of the main reasons I use Ukitake instead of Shunsui, SoiFon, etc; also, minedgames and traps.)

I still think the difference of damage is very, VERY noticeable in Super A (The star), but to DS2 Ukitake's defense, I think coughing is much more forgiving.

To be fair, they added some slot system for the people that don't use cards, and they nerfed most abusive cards...at some extent, but still...

I'll be honest, against the computer and in local matches I don't use the touch screen, but when I play some people that have SERIOUS LAG online, I tend to use it once or twice...either for Ukitake's Special E (The traps that reflect Special C and D) and for supers A and B.

The boards? Only once or twice (I recall seeing a thread with directions of some IRC channel for dueling) but I've studied most of the faqs, but that's all, most of my experience are from matches online.
I tend to use Ukitake and Urahara mostly...but I also use Gin, Byakuya, Ichigo and Shuuhei from time to time.
