hey people. give him some time. hey maybe this might actually be good. if he gets some people to help him, it could be good. but, i would get rid of the snk sprites. the picture is perfect, other than the snk sprite of violent ken. use alpha sprites. (genius idea) use mvc sprites. but i do think your getting in way over your head. you cant just slap a few edited characters into your mugen and say its a game. it takes probly more than you, or me for that matter, think. good luck anyway.

No the game idea is never bad im always looking for new ideas but ripping and making a screenpack and labeling it as a project or a full game is redudant and is the thing that is killing mugen people don't even try for originality anymore its all the same boring things over and over.

This is pretty constructive imho.  He should focus on the small things first; try to develop a stable, decent character.  This is not something to jump so quickly into, and is just going to be a rather waste of time.

I like it how most of the "full game projects" on this board consist in compilations of shitty MK and/or Marvel characters... although using the words "Mortal Kombat" means I shouldn't use "shitty", as I'm repeating myself.

Guys, build Mugen for yourself. If you really make an edit of a char which brings something, then feel free to release it in the "edit section".

As far as people complaining about this goes, that's going to happen. I mean a lot of people hate it when others use already made characters for a full game project. It's not the most popular thing to do, so for you to do it and then quit because people cried about the use of edits, makes me think that you never really had plans of making anything. I mean you knew that would happen. Bitch at release a screenpack with everyone else's characters.

Sounds like an attention thing.

If thats not the case then make what ever you want and then release it. Just don't be surprised when people cry about it.

It depends on your goals, are you trying to be popular or are you trying to contribute? Popular then don't use edits and make your own project all the way through. Respected but still bitched at, make it with edits add some great stuff of your own that makes a good project.
