.......Why would they develop 1 character that wasn't bad for the series and not develop more and develop another that you couldn't even play as and recently some of her moves were revealed in some.....strange japanese slot game  :S.....?

That Kof made a pretty good character and really didn't develop her that much and 1 that was just....there....could've done something more with her but they didn't.....

To begin with, these chars were mainly there for the Eolith era ; K9999 even got shafted out of 02UM. So if SNKP now just didn't like them, of course they're going to give them the boot like K9999 (arguably he was different, there was a legal problem with him, but still, you get the idea). Same way they're now apparently screwing over the dragon thing with Lon and Kensou & Bao - something that also came out in the Eolith era.

Which they keep hinting at in XI and 2k3, but don't do that much with it anyway. It's there, but developed to such a minimal extent including it is kinda pointless. Also, removing it might get rid of duolon cos he's shyte. This would be a good thing.

As far as the legal thing with K'9999 I mean the dude was a rip of ol dude from Akira so of course that was gonna have to go.Now the thing with Kensou and his dragon power thing is kinda strange but SNK is gonna drag along w/e they feel like dragging along for the ride I guess because I mean look at how long Shingo has been around and what they've constantly done with his character? NOTHING important....

If anything the more I think about the more I realize that SNK has been flip-floppy with their characters in Kof...

The news I ran across was that he had to be taken out because of some copyright stuff and a law suit that was in the works of happening before it even hit the air about his "originality"

You must be thinking "but it's ridiculous to remove a character and replace him with a sprite clone just because they don't like him!". But why not? If you don't like the taste of say, oranges, would it be ridiculous if you didn't want to eat it? K9999 and May Lee were created under the direction of Eolith. SNK was never happy that K9999 was such a blatant rip-off right down to the having the same voice actor. Now with 2k2UM they have a bigger budget, better hardware and full creative control, they can remake 2k2 the way they originally wanted.
