Every "live audience" show including Seinfeld and even the late-night shows (Letterman & Leno) rely heavily on laugh-tracks. In fact most of what you hear on all these shows is the laugh-track. In some cases they actually play the laugh track back to the audience over the speakers.Even WWE uses audience tracks during their live shows. They'll pump cheers and boos over the speakers.
i liked arrested development the best. seinfeld is good and if i catch a rerun i'll probably watch it again. i started watching curb your enthusiasm and better off ted lately and i think they are funny shows.
The Doctor said, June 07, 2010, 05:07:47 pmI hate laught tracks, there are shows I cant literally watch due to them.Wasnt arrested development the one that started the habit of "no laugh track" ?I like "How I met your mother."Barney is adorable.
Iced said, June 07, 2010, 05:22:24 pmWasnt arrested development the one that started the habit of "no laugh track" ?Spaced, Scrubs, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Malcolm in the Middle were the ones that really started the habit of not using a laugh track and using a single camera style of filming.
Iced said, June 07, 2010, 05:34:35 pmMalcom in the middle! thats the one I meant.Love that show.Same and I also like how I met your mother too. Also cleveland show can be funny at times.
*sigh* Arrested development. A comedy show done right.See what the fuck happens when one of the funniest shows on television with absolutely no laugh track and fucking plot continuities and all that shit is undermined? Can't wait for the possible movie.

And that movie better come out.
Brak, watch League of gentlemen and Little britain. I cant remember if they had laugh tracks but honestly, even if they had, they were amazing. =p
Iced said, June 07, 2010, 06:06:14 pmBrak, watch League of gentlemen and Little britain. I cant remember if they had laugh tracks but honestly, even if they had, they were amazing. =pRight now I'm finally watching all of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (I've already seen Angel, but I'll start rewatching that too when he leaves for LA), so maybe after that.oh boy i can't wait for joss whedon to tear out my heart and love him for it
Little britain are sketches, not storylines, so you can grab some of them while seeing other stuff, its a good filler.Same for Gentlemen, although it ends up having more recurring characters and developing plot.Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
Little Britain isn't even funny.First time I watched it I chuckled a few times but then it starts to get repetitive and boring. Seriously, I thought you guys would of been like: "Ew, little britain is horrible!".The only thing I liked in it was the pirate memory game sketch and the president sketch.
League of Gentlemen is insanely awesome. there are two versions of it, one with a laugh track and one without. it really doesn't matter which one you watch, because the humor is pretty solid.
i was hopping for arrested development to at least last as long as girlfriends...what i cant stand is black sitcoms written by whites...Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyhttp://www.starpulse.com/news/index.php/2008/08/13/the_demise_of_the_black_sitcom_
