Hey guys, i need some feedback for this. Im trying to sprite bison in SF3 style for the mk vs sf project, but i still dont think ive quite got everything right...any suggestions?

Also the dark purple shading seems to just all of a sudden go to red. I think you should either add another color to make the transition from purple to red seem a tad smoother, or just recolor the darker red you already have there.

At a later time. Right now my main objective is just to convert the ones they have.

After looking at all these cool sprites I decided to give it a go

This is my first attempt at this, so although its gonna be far from perfect I'm trying to do my best, I looked through
some of the other theme threads and did research on spriting information, hopefully this is good start.

First the Ryu I based it on, then My Paul from Tekken, then An alt version of him with more shades, the middle one I think is
more like the style should be, but I could be wrong, I tried to best replicate this style

Edit: I made a revised version with modified colours and revised shading, the one on the end right.

Looking at your Paul sprite, it seems you eliminated some important elements. Shading to be specific.

How do you mean? I have made 2 shades of each colour, should they be stronger in contrast are am I not
putting enough differant shades into the sprite?

thanks for any critique, it helps me improve what I do with them.

I don't want to sound harsh but that Paul doesn't SF3 styled at all...

Also whats up with the feet? and belt is lazily done too.

UPDATE

Here is mine, i made it today in i think somewhat over 2 hours...i'm happy how he turned out

Especially the swords, i thought they were gonna give me trouble.
Any tips on improvements are welcome. Not sure about the yellow toenails

(they share the palette with his chest-shield...uh i didn't seperate that XD!)
I've made him color-seperated, could someone perhaps make a few palettes for me? It's supposed to be Leonardo ofcourse.

*EDIT i didn't finish the shield on his back...didn;t want to XD*
**EDIT i did finish the shield now, and color seperated his toenails and added another shade for his eyes (a no-pupil palette still works i bet) and lil fix on eyebrow.*

Oh man, imagine how awesome that attack would look animated. *Drools*

Looks really good though. The colors don't seem quite CPS3 seeing as the colors are 100% consistent and there isn't any dark purple shading or anything along those lines, but like I said..still awesome.

Well the dark purple shading in CPS3 is usually for the dark parts of the skin tone...and the Turtle's skintone is quite different from a human's

If you really want to nitpick, the dark shades on his arm+leg bandana's is purple-ish..

Oh and it's not an attack, it's part of his winpose

It isn't just having dark purple for the skin. Ibuki for example has dark shades of blue on her pale yellow outfit. But I get it, Leo doesn't have much clothing on anyways.
