hey guys
i take away the alpha post because i dont need it now since my mugen world best friend chuchoryu
helped with astaroth sprites moves and sounds now astaroth is beta character.

two new palettes


-make super moves
-roll or something that could replace that
-it might be hard to do but if i might be able to make cvs conversion of sprites or not


his ai is better arigatou chuchoryu-san and now he can beat up normal ai level characters
he has get hit sprites and walking sprites. if you played the early tekken games then this wont bother you for the walking

I gotta test this guy.

Which Astaroth did you use? I havent played SC since SC2 (well SC4, but I really remember his SC2 look)

Hey CVS I see your making some progress of this Astaroth.

Anyway, I tried resizing him in the system cns file to about 1.05 on the x and y axis. It looked pretty cool

I mean, its still using a cvs template as a base so I think maybe he shouldn't be too big.

Try that size out and see if you like it if not, adjust it just up a little

Put it like this, I think he should be atleast the same size as Divine Wolf's Sagat  height wise or a bit taller. Width wise I would raise it at 1.05 or 1.07 Anything other than that he will be too big in my opinion but its your character, you can do what you want.

well i like your seggestions for his size and they make him look better than the other sizes its sometimes helpful to get seggeestions :P

Looks good, maybe a simple palette edit could make for an easy cvs style conversion?

Edit in Capcom style. Originally from Real Bout fatal fury game.

Basically color 2 shades the same color so they appear as one color side by side and blend into less detail but closer to a style like CVS or MvC.

You could also copy the RGB of CVS characters onto Astaroth to get the same CVS color look of the game's characters.

Well. Astaroth is better but he can use a little more!

SOME FEEDBACK!
+The size is a lot better than before! Nice Job!
-The shake walking effect should be reduced by a little. 
-The walking animation looks like hes walking in the air, plus its a bit awkward moving...
-The hit/get hurt animations have skyblue pixeled outlines around them, plus the dead animation looks like he died in the Air.
-Taunt is too long and keeps him opened for attack...

This is all I noticed for Astaroth, you did a great job in improving him! :)

-try adding a little possadd to s.mp and s.sk
-I'd say scale him up even just a little more (x1.15,y1.1)?
-slow down the lead in to his attacks, but up their power a touch.
-have f,d,df + (x,y or z) lift the opponent different amounts depending,
 but do less damage as more lift.
-maybe have ex uppercuts throw opponent toward and over astaroth (wall bounce?)
-a little less y movement on the dashes.  looks weird to see astaroth hop.
-d,df,f (a,b or c) have spin last longer or shorter depending on button
-lose by time over is hilarious!
-head.pos and mid.pos are off
-power charge look great
-slow down his stance animation a little
-ideally if you could separate out the streaks that the weapon leaves
 and make them explodes with some transparency, that would look sweet.
-excellent job so far, he's looking great and playing decent already! Man you're fast.

Your link for the resize is invalid.  I think it just has an extra h at the beginning.

Feedback:
-Not sure I like that he can be hit on his axe, but that's a personal preference.
-His AI was ample for beta, but it still power charges and taunts when an enemy is within throwing range far too much.
-Artistically, he is looking good, sounds are missing here and there like on his winpose, but I'm sure that's chalked up to Beta status.  His voices are spot on and I like that you added a different one for each button press on specials.
-Differences on button presses for one special typically changes speed and/or power.  Hope to see that implemented.
-As a big SC Astaroth player, I hope to see a lot of his cooler moves, especially any special property moves which added throws, drags on hit.  That would be unique and make him stand out compared to other characters.
-When you said he walks like early Tekken games you meant it, that is straight up Tekken 1 there.  It's kind of awkward looking compared to his current look.
-The ground shake on his walk is too loud, large, and frequent, especially since he baby steps.  Personally I think it should go away.  You could leave a ground shake when he lands for a jump and that would still be adequate.
-His get hit animations need some cleaning.

I think you have a really good thing going here.  It will be nice to see what the final version will play like.  A lot of my feedback was artistic and preferential so please take that accordingly.
