I agree with Walt. Big O was the "Simon" of the trio. Lol!

Do your best to become stronger. Become stronger, so you can do your best.

Mugen is a way for me to remain nostalgic with all of the dream matches I cooked up as a kid. It's also what I call a "Digital Action Figure Collection."

Ey, 15th place! Not bad at all. :)

Altough I agree with all the critisism I received about the stage, perhaps I should have chosen a better Wario Land level like Peaceful Village to avoid the roof problem buuuut I just tried to keep as much to that stage as possible.

The Projectile bug is one major fuck up on my part, I noticed it AFTER I submitted it, bleh...

Flat floor... yeeeeeeaaaaaaaah, I tried to angle the stage, but it just looked weird in the end. Sorry. :S

Also, some of the BG parts that could have felt out of place, especially the lowermost ones, it's mainly to avoid seeing characters feet poking out under the train floor, so yeah. :S

And finally... I have no bloody idea what cropping is. XS

----

BUT 15th place is great. :D

Well these competitions are for helping people to learn, specially since judges know how to make stages and will tell you what's wrong with them. :P
Cropping is removing zones with transparent color around the edges of the image. It basically optimizes your sprites so they don't waste more memory than what's needed, specially since transparency is a bit of a hard task in MUGEN and if not cropped correctly it can cause major slowdown.
Yeaaaah im shootign ducks wiht the paino

Would yall mind if I addressed some of the feedback from my stage entry real quick?

Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

You guys caught everything that I was worried about when converting this stage, so in my view that makes you great judges. The only thing you missed is that I could have optimized the sun rise by cropping it from the rest of the animation, making a smaller sff file size. But that would have been a huge pain in the ass.

I'd like to also confirm that this is the last contest I'll ever participate in. It's been fun and I'm so glad that you guys have done this and have given me the motivation to do what I consider some of my best stages, especially this years entry. And of course I love the entries from others that it brings out too. :)

The only disappointment for me (other than the piles of cash I sent apparently not reaching the judges)
Try to send the money early :)

i want to thanks to the judges too, your feedback will help me to improve. This was fun. Now i will go to the mountains and begin my training for the next year competition.

That is the idea :)

Also, LOL @ Ilu, the iron judge. Awesome ;D

Was I too hard on the votes?

I agree with Walt. Big O was the "Simon" of the trio. Lol!

hahahahahahahahahahah

Ah man, I can't wait to compete next year.  You guys are really having fun with it, and I'm jealous :L

Me too. I have an idea: Maybe the judges could compete against each other, on a separated category, and judged by...who made entries for the competition.
How about that?

(I know I will lost, but its fun :) )

That all depends on if all 3 want to enter something. If only 1 or two want to enter something they might as well be contestants and not judges.

yeah I know, but you can't be a judge AND a contestant on the same competition.

That was what I meant. Unless there was a way for the top 3 winners to judge a stage entered by the judges. But that's all depending on if you, Caddie or Cybaster (just assuming that's next years judge set up) are creating stages. Caddie said he won't be. That just leaves you and Cybaster. If you really wanted to participate, I'm sure you could find a replacement.

I do prefer to be a judge, I think I won't have enough free time to do a stage, so I don't want to drop at the half of the competition.

I'm fine being a judge. With the few free time I have at some moments to work on Mugen stuff, I don't want to add the stress of having to create a stage at a fixed date.
