I don't mind Bats. Did I prefer someone else, sure (quite a few actually)... but it's not as if there's already a really good Batman out there.
I'm sure Davis took that into account.

Can we start asking the tough questions now? I'll start with the first, and most important of all:

ARE YOU DOING THE AWESOME OVAL BAT SYMBOL OR THE LAME OVAL-LESS BAT SYMBOL

You said you were leaning on the last two and that's worrying because, come on! Yellow oval! It's great! And also the cape being blue inside looks much better, I think.

and also also, the belt seems weird to me, like a hybrid of the pouch and capsule ones. I think it should just be one or the other, although, as we all know, the capsule belt is objectively superior

I agree with JMM about everything he said.

Revisiting the sprite I actually think his left limbs look weird, his left arm and left leg look too big for his body, but overall excellent. I wonder if moveset ideas are collaborative or not as well, I'm sure if we put our heads together we could cook up innovative ideas.

I don't mind the bat either. After all, Beware the Batman was a good show. So let's see if this Batman is going to be awesome.

The beauty of the yellow is you can just palette it out so it's yellow-less and just the bat symbol. Same thing with inner cape color. Color seperation, more palette options, all that.

Well, going with the shape of the bat in the symbol in the non-oval sample sprites would preclude adding an oval, or at least, any oval added would look pretty weird.

Whereas if the bat in the symbol was shaped like the oval bat symbol, the oval could still come off and look good.

Right, I'm just saying, if we want the oval, then those who don't can just palette it out. It won't be the same, but it will be an option in case you don't want a big yellow oval on his chest. Or in case you do. Or a red oval. Whatevs.

This. Or the 1989 Tim Burton version. Or the awesome Dark Knight Version. Perhaps those different looks could be attained by color separation and palettes.

With that said, I'd LOVE to see a Batman Beyond palette!!

Either way, we can't go wrong here. Everyone in fact does and will win. Sean has some very capable hands and I look forward to see what comes out of this. I also find it hilarious that everyone looked at Spiderbat's and Alucard's sprites. Cybaster's awesome Batman was mentioned, what, once??

Well, in terms of sprites, it's not surprising my Batman was not mentioned much, since it's not pixel art at all, but comes from a Flash game.
However, if Sean wants to reference the sprites to animate his, and/or use ideas from it, he's more than welcome to.

There's a Robin out for Mugen by ALEXZIQ I think but I guess another can't hurt since we have countless Batmans

Hey, first of, he should have been in the poll to begin with. I still have no idea, why he wasn't.
Second of, he can just "attack" by using his Sonic Screwdriver to do *something* to the opponent, his Tardis to crush the opponent, call out his friends so they do the fighting, and "summon" his enemies in a similar way like Jill does in MvC (but with the difference that the enemies can hurt The Doctor too).
He can also use his regeneration as a last choice hyper move.
