This is Akira Yuki from Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax.

Sprite rips by aokmaniac (Thanks brother!)
I made his gameplay as close to the original as I can.

There is still several things to code in such as his -breaker- all 3 varients of it.

AND! If someone can help, I need Virtua Fighter preferable 5, and or Dead Or Alive 5, sound rips of Akira.

@ Genesis, Shut up you! LOL.

I need to use it alot for this character due to his background of causing painful moves.

@ Magnum, I'm making him based off a video I saw on youtube.

I have no idea how some parts of him work still, because I have no proper feeling of the character in the actual game.

So I wanna say No.
The frames for the Rising Knee is 2 start up frames, and 1 attack frame, and 2 return to stand frames.

Also, What kind of playstyle do you have planned for him? Will it be based off either his appearance in VF5, DoA5, Dengeki Bunko, or will it be a mix of all three with some personal twists?

Anyway, if I ever happen to find game fight voice rips of Akira from the aforementioned games, I'll hit you up immediately :)

Most of the animations look wrong, mainly the speed and timing (The lack of effects isn't helping either), have you played the game? Because there's a bunch of stuff you'll probably miss or get wrong if you haven't (See: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s472/sh/44805877-ce36-4c01-baf8-23e1bb44cb36/7bcb1ec5cac85f86167ce1527113d43e )
Also the lack of an assist might gimp some of his routes but I don't know if you plan to implement that (Logically he'd have Pai Chan but she's not a good assist, at least not for Akira)

Im making him semi accurate to Dengeki Bunko, as based in the video.
3 button , XYZ ( I prefer XYZ over ABC, simply because I play with my controls "backwards")

As of now there are no Pai rips, I'm considering Kirito (since I LOVE SAO) as his assist, but nothing planned yet.

No I havent played the game. I never really aim to much towards accuracy, but I get the basics of the gameplay down.
and Yeah due to all of the games effects being simple textures that are scaled and rotated in 3d space, I can get NO effects. So the ones I have on him now are the best I could get. thats close to it.

I'll try to look at the notes and compare to what i've done already and "fix" it. But don't expect it to happen on first release.

as for a Striker He plays really well without one, so adding one isnt much of a issue, but I do plan to add one eventually.

I just need to code his Grab. and "breakers".

I have a few buddies(4) of mine testing him almost all steps of the way, so he is pretty not broken. but damage and poweradd's as well as juggle points are completely off as of now.

Oh, if you're not going for accuracy then carry on. I main Akira so that's mainly why I posted some concerns here and there.

@ Lars, I saw the sprites and your gifs.

they look VERY wierd and I don't see anyone actually doing something like that, even if its a game. the animation just looks wrong.

So I won't add them, Sorry.
