X2M, you say? Never heard of that file system before... Is it exclusive to the Xenoverse games, or did it have earlier uses in other titles?

It's really annoying because I can swap out the entire OST using older methods no problem

But if I try to create other mods using the user-friendly Mod Installer system it all shits itself for some reason.
It mostly has to do with the older system replacing core files (was updated to putting them in a special directory like USF4 modding later on) into this new format which clones existing files, packs them into the game as junk files and then you replace that using a more complex system. It's a lot more complicated then it needs to be. Especially when they are so damn easy to install!

This is a very interesting story that I am sure will be of interest to ones of people here, about an aborted live action adaptation of Mobile Suit Gundam, that was in the works in '83 (back when there was nothing but the original series and the three compilation movies!);.

Reading that made me think about all the Japanese properties that were optioned for Hollywood adaptions in 70s and 80s (like the attempt at an Ultraman movie).

Course, I'll forever have to imagine how much the effects would be split from practical and early CG If it did enter production.

pretty sure in the early 80s cgi was painting on the cells using a marker; like, in scape from newyork they made a carboard model, painted it black, then covered parts of it with fosforescent(?) tape so it looked like a computer's screen because computers were not avialable back then.
