Select Screen is functionally complete:A couple things to note:- I fiddled around a bit with the sliding portraits and left the code in system.def commented out. It works to a degree, but I've found in multiplayer modes that the effect doesn't work in sequence (it will only work for whoever triggers it first). Again, the MugenHook thing is up to the end user but the numbers are there and correct.- If you go the custom port route, then port size will be 640x420. The title bar takes some 85 pixels off the top. The diamonds extend out 165 pixels from the corners and are layerno=1. You don't need a template for this.
President Devon, do you still plan to put custom stage selection? If yes, I'll go all the way custom portraits when it's released. ^^ Working on a Carnage Portrait right now. xDThanks for your hard work!
Amazing stuff Devon! I'm still using WWX Black and I almost hate you for making me wanna change SPs again. This one is hard to resist lol. Will you be including the raw files upon release as well?

The only psd files people would need would be if they want to edit the slideshow in the main menu. I'll probably have that as a separate download.EDIT: Added a poll:Second guessing the ports right now, how would you like things to go?
The SP is too good to be left with the ugly pixelated small ports. With some consistent art this can be an anbsolute banger on the select screen if custom ports are used.

I'd love to scoop those, so that would be super awesome!
Okay, looks like we're doing standard portraits then.Working on another project right now but should get back into it around the start of the weekend.
PeXXeR said, March 10, 2020, 12:45:51 pmWhat a shame. standard ports are ugly. people voted for that just because they are lazy.True, PeXXeR.When I will be able to open my insane portraits vault, that's the question. Sad xD

I started using the legacy SP when I registered. I still use it.People using SP's with Custom ports then to use them far more because they invest time making the portraits. Also again the SP is damn good looking. People have 3000 options for normal SP's Custom good ones are a rarity.

I don't mind making portraits as long as they aren't insanely complicated with various effects and layers and require precise positioning. I just don't have the time to sit down in PS and spend time making ports. Especially if you have a large roster with 200+ characters. I love custom port SP's but not when they are complicated.
I'm OK making custom portraits. I don't mind the small portraits being regular boxes. Large portraits make a big difference in the overall appeal, so custom ones there would look great. The only downside of custom portraits is a lack of good artwork for obscure characters which ruins the fun of making them, sometimes.

Versus screen coded.Been pondering how I'm gonna do the victory screen. Not every character has a 9000,2 so I'll probably just do 9000,1 again. After that will be lifebars.EDIT: Here's the mockup for the victory screen:
