CvS2 vs Z2 [Older HDBZ]

Hello all; I recently had the magnificent experience of playing some more online players through IKEMEN GO online. It's very exciting to find more people who actually play and are open to the heat of battle. For a fighting game community that breeds creators/devs such as Mugen, it's always good to have a healthy community of fighters to support.

So I know nothing of HDBZ/Z2, but apparently these "Z2" versions are older. I heard they were stronger, before they had nerfs, and they were overall more stronger? Can someone confirm for me the differences between the latest HDBZ material and the older Z2 online player I was fighter?

edit: Looking back, the sprites look a little older. I'm pretty sure the sprites in more recent times have been updated, for Z2, right?

Fighting these Z2 characters sort of reminded me on how careful I have to play again Reu's Evil Ryu/Evil Ken from the WinMugen days. You had to pick your shots carefully, and there is absolutely no room for button mashing, and execution and timing has to be on point. OR ELSE any mistake you make you will be punished into a huge string of combos, as seen in the video by the Z2 player. It's difficult to apply pressure because you don't know if you're gonna whiff or get punished, but sometimes it's good to play risky to throw them off and force them to block. Lucky for me, CvS2 has really good footsies, so a lot of stuff that I use from that game still works against the Z2 matchups.

 We should attempt setting up a session some time next week, I could really playtest my own stuff in more practical scenarios since vs AI can only let me find so much. I've noticed that you're no longer at the Guild server, however, what happened?

Oh Idk the guild discord just disappeared on my discord on my account. I think I was banned or something.

I have an issue with Z2 characters in IKEMEN GO. It's like impossible to do SSJ Goku Z2's teleport (QCB+P) in IKEMEN GO. Would you guys have an idea of why it doesn't work?

I like your old video with only cvs2 chars arcade mode
hope to see more arcade mode from you(do a very long one, if possible with rare char cvs2waru's style)

It's okay, you don't have to like it. This isnt arcade mode about AI opponents. This is with real people which is rare among the mugen community outside of the full game exclusivity realm. For me I play CvS2 hardcore and I like fighting different types of opponents. Some are ridiculous indeed but it's amazing when you can beat cheaper chars other people are using with a more normal game of rules and technical abilities. It feels good to win with the underdog handicaps. That itself should be exciting to watch. It's like watching an MMA fight vs traditional fighting.

Sorry, it's not like I don't like it, it's more that I prefer arcade run than online matches
but if u are happy with that it's ok
the same time I would like to see more arcade run from run
