The CS work is impressive !
I'm pretty sure some skilled pallete artist would make great colors!

Something I wanted to start for a good while; and that the most recent edit of Sonson re-lightened my interest on :P -

Boy, those MvC graphics are always hella crazy to work with... :pwn:

But nonetheless, Sonson's color separation is done! :kugoi:

Grab it if you want! (<-- Note there's no hitsparks or other effects in the .sff)

Gonna update my old Sonson once I get some pals done. And of course, if you wanna make your own palettes, I would greatly appreciate! :)

it seems there's some color sharing issue in the sprites for her ape form as you can see in the pal here

but here's a pal for ya it's loosely based on Baby Vegeta from DBGT :)

Thanks for the comments, folks. ;D

it seems there's some color sharing issue in the sprites for her ape form as you can see in the pal here

That's because the amount of colors present in the palette index simply doesn't allow enough space to separate the fur, from the rest of the body. So I unfortunately had to leave this part as is.

• Althought... maybe I could just take away the magic cloud from the index, since it actually isn't directly linked to her normal sprites, like every other item does? That would be quite a trade-off: not having multicolored clouds, but allowing for better colors in the big ape form; Hmmn... lemme check that out.

And that's a really good palette, by the way! :)

EDIT: Done! The result is much better now, as I was able to even separate a little more the waist armor from the other clothing pieces. :) I also adjusted the color order, so the template makes a bit more sense;

@Tay: Are you willing to adapt your Baby Vegeta palette to the updated template? Or would you rather prefer that I do it myself?

And finally, here are a few pals :c00l::

What methods do y'all use for CS? I'm trying to optimize my work and my method just isn't doing it.

I'm not 100% what you mean here. You already know how to CS, so don't you know the method? Maybe you mean process? I'll give both regardless:

https://mugenguild.com/forum/topics/easy-quick-color-separation-tutorial-149123.0.html

^It really doesn't get any easier than this. This is bar none the best tutorial. That's the method.

The process I use is from Froz. Where he advised I take multiple runs through the SFF, separating an individual part each time. I started out CS'ing the entire SFF sprite by sprite. This does take a lot longer and you are more prone to mistakes. Though if you do one pass separating the shoes, then another the legs/pants, so on and so forth, it's a lot more tolerable and efficient imo.

You're also very likely to catch any mistakes you may have made with multiple passes and fix them before they become problematic. Hope that helps.
