It is based on an ancient clay figure called "dogu", it is possible that it appeared in sailor moon or another media as you say, becauseThey are from before the Japanese culture formed itself

Shit, man, they look so good! But they all lack contrast, IMHO: you could go for deeper/darker shadow tones, they look a bit too bright RN.

that's weird, only pyron have increased  contrast by a little because it is supposed to shine by itself ,It is the only one with custom palette, They are based on official palettes from Darkstalkers Series,not SvC   where they handle a darker palette

I tend to check the kof XIII customizer to avoid that mistake,although I plead guilty of loving vivid colors

I make my skullgirls a bit smaller but with the same rules



I wonder if I made the same mistake, there are various shades of same color in kof and I tend to use the least ugly for the character,yes I know that the tones change depending on the material they are

This is pretty cool work you're displaying! :thumbsup:

The critic in me sees that the animations are slightly jittering (end of the jeans for Kyo, for example) and don't give that 3D to 2D look the original creators of the game had in mind. But this is very minor.

All of these look awesome! I really wanna see more of these sprites made by Methiou and KOKI to have more frames and even then become full characters.

Fixed Antonov 'XIV & made 'XV, (sans shades/hat as bonus) and remade Chizuru 'XV along her ghost sister Maki. (Why didn't SNK take the chance to resurrect her with the whole Verse plot?)
