Well, I have been trying to develop a starter character, but everytime I try to import a single PCX formatted sprite, I get the message, "Can't Locate This Sprite". I'm using Fighter Factory, anyone knows what to do?

Ok when using fighter factory don't use any of the templates they do not work.

Here's what you do.

1. Make a copy of KFM's files

2. Open up KFM with Fighter Factory.

3. replace KFM's sprites.

4. Use fighter factory to make a pallet based on your sprite.

5. Make sure you save each and every sprite before moving on to the next one or you will lose your work.

gabumon has 9 sprites, or 5? if he has 5, just edit KFM's animation so it's the 5 sprites you have. If he has 9 and you get that message even though you've added the sprites in and they match in the animation then you've stuffed your pallete up.

More likely is you need to edit the animation in KFM's air file to fit your character. Delete a few frames.

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

Like, not applied it. FF says can't locate that sprite if it's not there, or is in the wrong format. Even a .pcx will break if it's not 256 colours. Make sure your pallete is correctly applied and the image is .pcx.

could be a number of things, incorrect image coloring mode, you aren't specifying the right animation, you have a blank animation element in the animation that is preventing the animation from going forward.

If you try everything suggested in this thread already, you should be able to figure it out.
