Chosis said, April 14, 2009, 04:06:43 pmI just figured out I can do this too. If all goes to plan next week, I'll have English Zangief.Yeah, fuck next week.I can't think of a way to separate opponent's yelps from any command throws or hit-confirmed moves. That means Zangief's Atomic Busters, Cammy's Gyro Drive Smasher finish, and many others. You might get away with leaving it, and letting the MUGEN opponent's voice drown it out, but fixing that is on my to-do list.My workaround works to an extent. It isn't perfect, but the results are very close to, less noticeable than the music was.SF4 is one of those games where Volume at 0 doesn't mean Volume at 0. That means there is very very faint background music behind his grunts. Bugs the fuck out of me, but until they add a sound test to an update, there isn't much I can do about it. No longer an issue. Why the hell didn't I think of this sooner? My thanks to Drex for providing the raw sound files from the SFIV PC benchmark tool, containing all characters, all languages, just waiting to be converted to wave sounds. We've agreed to split the rips between us.All done. Credit goes to Drex and I for the labour, and PotS for yet another quicker and more practical method.Characters:Abel: English - JapaneseBlanka: English - JapaneseBalrog/M.Bison: English - JapaneseCammy: English - JapaneseChun Li: English - JapaneseC. The DRE said, April 15, 2009, 06:38:03 amWhy didn't you turn off the music while ripping the sounds??The only way to 'turn off' the music is to crank it down to zero in the Sound Settings. And as I explained before...Chosis said, April 14, 2009, 05:14:32 pmSF4 is one of those games where Volume at 0 doesn't mean Volume at 0. I'm not sure about PS3, but if your using XBOX at least, you can play a song from your hard drive and just pause the music. Absolute and total silence. It's a good thing to know before you continue. Let me know if you would like what I've ripped so far with eng Cammy. I think I've got the majority of her sounds, but definitely missing all of her gethits and unlockable taunts.
I would appreciate Dhalsim's sounds, in the midst of this high level discussion of ripping sounds; Especially, Yoga catastrophe sound(if anything).

I'll have to give that a shot, but whenever I've used the Crossbar player it's been for online matches (PS3, by the way), and SF4 overrides it in favor of in-game music. I guess they figure it helps cut lag or something... Doesn't work. Background music plays through paused Crossbar track. Anyway, just finished all of Cammy's stuff, and after checking back over the files, I can't hear any background noise.Rajaa said, April 15, 2009, 07:17:34 amI would appreciate Dhalsim's sounds, in the midst of this high level discussion of ripping sounds; Especially, Yoga catastrophe sound(if anything).Done. I'll rip the Catastrophe soundbite first, then the rest of Dhalsim after Bison. Do you have a preference for language?Origin Giratina said, April 15, 2009, 07:44:12 amIf possible, I would like the English voices of Guile.Done. Thank you so much, I'd prefer English to be honest.Yoga... fire!!Yoga... flame!!Yoga... kazukayaku!!which one is out of place, lol. I made that word up, no offense to the Japanese language though.

It's from the Japanese language set, but it's still English (or Engrish, at least).Yoga KatasutorofiiI've been meaning to commend your Dhalsim. That Catastrophe effect is from Ash Crimson, right?
Spoiler: off topic (click to see content)Haha, it's a combination of Raiden:mai's poison:fire fx. You can take your hat off to Drex for that. I'm also making a third Dhalsim, without that ugly scaling I issued, and just an overall revamp in general. Thanks, the sound quality is awesome!! Look forward to the full set, don't make it priority though; you've already done a commendable amount for me, Thanks again.
English Rufus down the line will be something I'll need (not a top priority of course but figure I'll request them while the iron's hot and all that good jazz)
Can you Rip to me the Abel and Rufus Japanese voices, Friend Chosis? After Friend Haseo quit, i'm a little in panic... I'm in the PDC Project and need theses voices to the respective chars!! ThANK you already!!

By the way, this poll's open until I get around to ripping Rose.Ulisan said, April 15, 2009, 01:47:23 pmCan you Rip to me the Abel and Rufus Japanese voices, Friend Chosis?KFM has beaten you to the punch for Rufus, so it'll be a bit of a wait unless you're willing to settle for English. Japanese Abel is added behind KFM's request.---English C.Viper rips uploaded. Download link is in the first post. G.Rugal, your Boxer/Dictator's next up.
So, Japanese Ruffus Loses to the English Ruffus? No Problem, the more necessary is the japanese Abel!!! Thanks for the help! Sure that your name will be in the chars credits!!

But it turned out its actually the japanese voice. The english voice actually sounds like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mR3OLhTCfH4. So is it okay to change my mind that can I get the japanese voice instead? Sorry if this is a late reply.
In the case of the above post, after my request is fulfilled may I request an English Guile pack be made?
