I make stages for 1.1, but recently i've begun porting my new stages to ikemen before release
I can fix the sin problems and some of the window problems that occur, but there is this one problem that I cant fix: When the camera zooms, the zoffset of the characters doesnt seem to move along with the stage, but noticeably, window also doesnt zoom properly.

I believe its because of the second value that was added to zoomdelta, adding the zoomdelta parameter to the layers and switching the second value to 0 did fix the problem partially, but it ended up causing even more problems that couldnt be fixed with zoomdelta, so im really hoping that that isn't what the problem is.
I really dont want to abandon the ikemen users that download my stages, Im only doing this for them. but if I cant fix this problem then I'm going to have to abandon them.
Here is a demonstration of the problem, and then a comparison to the mugen 1.1 version


Keep in mind im really dumb, so if its something obvious then please dont judge me too much

Thank you for the kind words Dcat, believe it or not I actually do almost everything by eye rather than math

Stage is finished, ive got some material for some other stages, im going to try to create those aswell
This stage will release after I finish the other ones.

Edit: realized just how bad my camera code is... I studied for a little while and its now much better

Edit 2: On second thought ill just post it tomorrow

I was going to port it to ikemen first, but the window code is different on there, and everything automatically has like some weird zoomdelta or something, which makes everything fall out of line. I dont really know whats happening there, or how to fix it, so I'm gonna have to pass on that for now.

I've returned, long time no see huh
Im returning to normal sized stages before moving back to jus stages

Starting off we have "Building a Utopia" from Fire Emblem Heroes for Mugen 1.1
Ive tried to make this stage as advanced as possible, advanced parallax, advanced lighting, etc.

Still quite a bit left for this stage but I hope you can look forward to it

edit: If you saw what i was talking about with memory, pay no mind... I was using the wrong sff haha

The tree sway was so much fun to do haha. I think I saw Arias/Alice talking about how window can be used for parallaxing xscaledelta on the Y-axis, and thought it would work well with sin.x/y, and it did! I'm not surprised to hear that Tatsu has done that, his stages are next level for sure. There is a lot to learn from the stages that those two made. I really look up to them and many other stage creators, including you.

Unfortunately, the roof isn't the only thing that gets misaligned, it also happens to everything else that has xscale :(
It normally happens when there is some sort of zoom code incorporated into the characters move.  Its noticable with Insephs newer characters, because it zooms in during their intro
I could be wrong, but it seems to be a problem with how mugens camera works, because the problem does not exist in Ikemen.
Its actually the reason why I made the seperate ikemen version, despite not using and having no experience in Ikemen myself

Character zoom code is not compatible with the Mugen version
But it is compatible with the Ikemen Version

Do not use the Mugen version in ikemen
And do not use the Ikemen version in Mugen
Have not tested on Ikemen Nightly build

I dont suggest watching the previous video, because ive changed the perspective of the house

Will probably be released soon
Very proud of this parallaxing house... never want to parallax a house again

Hello, friends
This is where I will be posting W.I.P updates on stages
You don't have to give me feedback, I'll be glad if you just look at what I'm doing here :thumbsup:

As you may know, I am putting together a JUS styled screenpack, and am releasing stages alongside it.
The training stage is done
Currently working on Kame house, with day, night and sunset variants (the day version will be released early, as soon as it's done, because It's been almost a year since I've released a stage)
removed video because of past incompetence
I am using sprites from Toni's Kame House stage, but I edited them so that they can parallax properly.
Speaking of, I think im going to change the perspective of the house, so that it parallaxes more. As of now, its slow and barely noticeable
If my mugen stages are going to even get close to contending with Ikemens 3D stages, then I need to have things parallax as much as possible

Y-axis parallax is not going to be done for the house until the stage is complete. I have an idea to use window for that, but i've never tried it before, I assume its going to require a BUNCH of layers which will make it harder to add other things, hence why its going to be the last thing I do.
Whats awesome, is that I can also try using window and sin.x to animate grass and trees (to have them sway in the wind) that should be fun.

nice update I see your taking your time making this great screen pack. but prefer no filter shaders whem come to Pixel art because as pixel artist and a fan I like to show off the bright Color of Pixels than having a filter blocking it or covering it up Just saying. also you never reply to me when I give you complitment. lol feel like was ignored some odd reason. anyways. but I see the potental of your creation and hope we get the chance of testing and trying your screen pack once you release it to the mugen community :D
also when ever you have the chance please take look at my screen pack and love your feedback and opinion as well. I love how creator like your self are into JUS mugen content of it. well I be rooting for your progress and god bless your great effort your doing :D

Hello, I've implemented shaders, changed the versus screen, and made new lifebars!

The shaders have CRT lines which can not be seen unless you watch it in the highest quality, so I suggest going to youtube to watch the video.

The screenpack is now in a playable state, but there is much to do before it is finished.

I'm now working on the stages, learning yscaledelta, which I never implemented because it is awful, and I don't understand it, but I have to step up now that ikemen has real 3d stages.
I'm not a math expert like the god, arias/alice, and the other god Tatsu/Shiyo, but I will try my best.
Once the stages are finished, I will circle back and finish the screenpack.

Edit: After testing a bunch of random ideas, I have a good grasp now on y-axis parallax.
Really wish someone would have explained it... why is it so weird to implement? Also, my camera code is now decent, I think?

Love the style on this stage!
There is something satisfying about seeing parallax with these kinds of sprites
The music fits perfectly as well
And I think that pathway in the background adds a lot to the stage, love that.
