Firelord, I strongly recommend that you guide your project towards your point of interest and where ESFAndy's meet. Just simply imitating the effects of the original flash just means I'm playing a playable version of a sprite flash that becomes ............you know.

You can mimic some of it to a point where it won't bother experts and professional MUGEN contributors too much (I am guessing on my guesstimating calculator), but newbs that sign up everyday will encourage you to "make" a game out of this (UGH!).

If you send 1.000.000 US dollars to Elecbyte, I'm sure they'll consider porting the engine to PS3. but then, that's all you'll get : the engine. Because well, Capcom, SNK, Sammy and the others won't be very happy to see their characters online like that.
There is actually system connection between them that they make you believe that they own all the rights, when they necessarily own MOST of the rights. Sort of like a democracy between Greeks, though with some loop holes. Fortunately, breaking this system will result in losing your life and possibly have "Psychopathic Fantastica"

@ubaldo_saul: thanx for the comment
@oxMudxo: this game is only for 1.0 so won't work in xmugen
@ratonmalo: sorry but my recorder software doesn't work. some day i'll reinstall it or any other.. some day  ;D

sprites are aligned as in arcade but this big guy have some troubles with his shadow

if i align him some pixels down the shadow will look better but i must change the Y start position or the other foot will be out in some stages.

You should change the positions of the shadow. They seem to overlap the pit and look the same, even on the pool.

There are no additional features in 1.0 that classic cannot handle EXCEPT for the newer sff filetype.

If you want to add sctrls, do it. I do and have. Triggers, does anyone use the "autoadd" triggers? Or do most people type them out? Neither of these are stumbling blocks to using older versions of fighter factory to develop for 1.0

I wouldn't have thought replicating the interface of FFC would have been too bad. Aside from the things that obviously cannot be replicated of course.

If you replicate it. Move the lock button to the file menu. I keep clicking it accidentally. FFC U3 was the best thing i've used for character development. Aside from some bugs and streamlining it was perfect. It was intuitive and sensible. FFU went too far towards the "casual" developers and made everything harder for people who actually wanted to code full characters.

I think it would work better for working with stages too. However, a program for spriting and programming stages exists, then users who are reading this, LEAD ME TOO IT!!! And I shall not worship you, but thank you.

Yeah...i guess your right. He was still outta place to speak harshly like that though.

No one is to blame. Probably he had a bad day or something personal. Just remember, no one is to blame, even if it is harsh, no one is to blame.

Uhh right, Im gonna take it easy on you because you're 15? Seriously kid, Mugen Compilations are old, What happened to OC? I mean jesus are people that lazy now? If you don't like my comment too bad, Don't insult me and i won't make you look like a fool.

Once again, choose your words carefully.
If you were wise enough, you wouldn't make that reply in the first place, and then get into an argument with someone younger than your you.

Im not defending anyone or attacking anyone, simply saying just be careful.
It does not matter if you have been with MUGEN longer than anyone, It does not matter that your older than someone and say "You'll make them look like a fool."
What matters is that treat someone the way they would treat you(Being respectful, without it, there would be organized chaos). Just helping you out here.

Being angry back at someone is a natural reaction, but you know you can control it. You too chatman, you can control it too.

Lol, Educated.....ok.

Try obvious reasons from plenty of experimentation and watching the bug list thread grow by the hour.
Stick to creating pals and stages assuming you have that much knowledge and providing silly feedback to various peoples works just to feel important and sad attempts at making a name for yourself.

I love how random n00bs attempt to fit in this one sided community.

Guys, come on, don't want to sound rubbish or defendant, but it's SyN's choice to stick with WinMugen for now. You guys can't bash on him and keep bragging about "Hey, do new MUGEN". Now, I haven't read the whole argument, but I can tell you, SyN is going to win the argument, even without me, I know this guy well enough because it is his choice. Don't try to influence him to change. He's right about the bugs on the new Mugen, and obviously, when the new MUGEN is bug-free, he will move.

So either way, it's a win/win.

The gameplay didnt look simple in the videos in my opinion
easier to make 5hit+ combos as in KOF maybe but definitive not simplier as in Guilty Gear or Marvel Vs/Capcom Vs Games

MK is on the cover of HyperGamer

Also on the EGM in the "Komeback Issue" with a Raiden Render standing before a stonewall which reminds me at Goro?s Lair in Mortal Kombat (1992)

Scorpion looks not scorpion. Just what i think. could be my eyes.

get a team
Don't do this. Seriously. Teams with everyone clamouring for certain characters or features just don't work. Get yourself 1 other person to do stages or the screen pack, do as much as you can by yourself.

I agree with you on this, since I remember some projects back in the day that had like 4 or more people working on it, and all of a sudden, it's abandoned.

Sort of explains why MKP5.1 wasn't released.

First off, map it out, create an outline of how the game is (story (very important part), stages, characters, etc.). Don't be rehashing or going back to stuff because that will delay it badly.

Second, what type of full game are you inclining towards? An existing one? (Mortal Kombat, Guilty Gear, Marvel vs Capcom)
or something new? (Terrordrome)

Third, build up your skills(programming, spriting, etc.), get a team, rather than staying at a noob level and compilating other contributors work or telling other contributors to program things for you (ridiculous).

Full games is a big step when it comes to creating, especially when your a noob.

P.S. I do not recommend you to do existing ones, since there are many project clones about them, unless your are trying to do a sequel to it (B.C.'s Street Fighter 4 Alpha).

P.S.S. I also recommend you not to start a full game, since characters is something you should try out first.

If I am missing any details, or if you have any questions, ask the adminstrators of this forum.
There are some contributors in this forum that you will have to befriend, since some might get to the disrespect level right away when you ask them certain things.

:omg:

Sorry, half the globe.

But one should already have an idea about the concept, I already implemented it in the Reptile update as I mentioned, though he's missing the new damage output in his jumping basics.

As for the combo limiting, it hasn't been implemented yet.

Combo limiting.....very simple concept, but it varies. (Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, etc.)

Alright, here's what I believe. Based on MK vs SF 3, chameleon starts off with combos and tries to continue it, but taking too much hits in one combo is difficult to escape. Pushback is good to begin with, but sounds like it can cause some problems (EX: Overpowered characters can easily escape it and blow you up to bits.) If you look closely, MK vs SF 1 and 2 and MK vs SF 3 are using different mechanics if you look into it deeper, so it depends on the system you use (Im not talking about FX, the characters, the way they move, how fast they start a combo, how fast they recover from an attack, etc.)

Either you fix up the character's system, or start from ground of. (If possible, make a full game from it, but someone has already begun the development.)

I recommend you take a MK vs SF fan's advice who isn't cocky and who wants to have fun or a Contributor who's familar with the system.

I've grown away from MUGEN, and plus, I rather focus on my life and other things rather than putting MUGEN on my laptop and give it a virus, I see no fun in it. Hope you take my advice.

Yeah I'm trying to fix up the character's system, I just wanted to know what is it people would prefer the most. So far, only the pushback has received a couple of votes, but let's see what happens.

And as for the full game developing, you're probably talking about firelord. I'm supposed to be working with him, but I've been busy as hell and had to travel across the globe so I could renew my passport. Can't install a single thing on this crap-top because it's my sister's.

I'll be back in about 25 days really. Until then, nothing I can do. I do, however, have a Ryu update in my USB with the pushback applied onto him. I gotta say, it's not looking bad.

Seems, like your ahead of what your saying. Must've been a hassle for you to travel around the Earth to get your passport renewed.

I gotta say, let people try out the pushback system with Ryu first, then you'll get some feedback on wether it's good or not. I'd say, from what your saying "It's not looking bad", there may be bugs, so try fixing that up.

I started a 3D MK project before, and I don't want to see another one go to the wrong direction.
