Thanks PotS! This was exactly what I was looking for. I was last active with anything really mugen related like 4/5 years ago when IkemenGo was barely a thing and paid it no mind so finally coming back and debating what route I want to take and then seeing this definitely helps. Being able to name your maps is DEFINITELY a win for ZSS

Hey there everyone! I come asking for opinions! So I'm studying software engineering and I have a school project, so basically I am looking to make a website about fighting games that I feel like are forgotten by the casual audience that should definitely be worth giving a shot! So I want to know what are some fighting games that you think belong on that list? It can be old or new. Also if any of you don't mind, leaving a sentence or two as to why you recommend it. That I can then use for my school project. I appreciate it everyone  :mlol:

Download and use Notepad++ to open CNS/text files that are in foreign characters, it innately includes many of them encoded in and definitely gives access to Japanese characters. It's also free.

Alright so I was taking a look at Warusaki3's Ingrid cns file (its also in the .def file and all his other characters) and all the comments show up like this:

Obviously I can't read that nor do I really really need to know what each of those are to change or understand whats going on in the code, but it can be very annoying and I was wondering if anyone knew how to get rid of this or to have the comments show up in the original language which of course for Waru's case is Japanese. Thanks RedDragon I wanted Akuma to look like he was waiting there for his next contender, i think it makes him feel like THE bad guy of the game

So I didn't think it was going to be so hard to create a title screen or maybe at the moment ive been lacking creativity. Anyway the title was going to be "Forbidden Abyss" but I couldn't find a font that I felt looked right so I just decided to use the Art of Fighting logo. What do you guys think?? And if you guys have any advice i would be glad to hear it

Hmm the only thing I can think about would be putting stage music as the one you want instead. I guess you can also go into fighter factory and add a song or in this case a snippet of a song during the characters intro animation.

So im working on brider and currently for one of his specials he does an attack where he hits you with an electricity punch ex:



But I was wondering if anyone knew of some sprites where instead of looking like a ball of electricity, the electricity goes around the players arm kinda like how Cole from infamous looks when he uses his powers

I was wondering if someone who is good at sprite work can help me out here. So I am working on this Brider and I couldnt help notice that some of his sprite groups appear to have this weird shift that looks like there are scan lines ex:



I want to get rid of this but I dont want to mess up Briders sprite work in the process and was wondering what I could do. Thanks

Hey so i understand this may be a lot to ask but, I was wondering if someone would be willing to help me write (or guide) this new super i have for Rugal. I have the sprites i need and the animations i want to use but i'm not quite sure how to begin. I know there are no shortcuts when it comes to mugen but i would gladly appreciate it if someone could help me. The super will be involving 2 other characters maybe a 3rd as a easter egg buuut yeah. It's all good don't worry about it and I know it is going to work. Always keep a backup of your system.def file just in case of course, but it will work.

hey sorry I just saw this, but what your gonna want to do is edit the columns part to say 1000 and also you might wanna change the rows section so it doesnt look awkward. I also think you should change the cell.size and just change the y placement to be a smaller number(this depends on if your okay or not with the size that they are currently at). Then when your adding the characters when you reach about have of the total number in that row you will have to switch it up and add the characters from the other categories to complete that row.(hope that makes sense). other than that I think you should be pretty good.
