The amount of love to the movies and details here is very impressive. I do not intend to sound harsh, but the character is very messy and buggy. Sounds usually triggered by idles overlap and don't stop when Indy shifts to do anything else, his grab pummel can whiff if he grabs a foe as they are moving, his basic moves are very slow and cannot combo and sometimes unsafe on hit, and Staff of Ra is very, very sensitive and hard to aim. I also personally think "I forgot the gun" outcome shouldn't leave him vulnerable for some long as it is a simple projectile.
Despite all, I greatly respect the references and the "Indiana Jones and the ___ Round" pop-up a bunch. (It shows up extremely large on my Mugen and cropped mostly offscreen.) I would really like to suggest possibly collaborating with a creator to handle coding since the sprites are fairly solid edits of Trevor. Indy has a lot of potential.
Re: Do I have to use Discord in order to download characters like MC Melancholic?
This game ditches Side Specials, Side Titls, and Back and Forward Airs for aerial Smashes and Dash Smashes. Slap City must have been Ludosity experimenting with aerial Smashes, I really like this change since side tilts in Smash are usually redundant and unnecessary, and most of my mains have really situational Side Specials.
Thank you so much for trying to produce new custom Mario sprites, really like the warm shading and detail here. I hope these get plenty of use.
Moveset wise so he isn't just another Smash Mario, I would like to suggest use of more zany power ups for some attacks like the Hammer Suit from SMB3, Ice Flower, Double Cherry from 3D World, Builder Mario from Maker 2, or Rock Mario from Galaxy 2. Mario + Rabbids gives him plenty of arm cannons to use as well, and I would like to suggest the Mario & Luigi series as the bros, many special moves and items present a ton of possibility. Mario sports and Party games present a wide variety of possible winpose potential too.
It took long enough for the most iconic 3D fighter to get in a so called fighter party brawler crossover thing. Not bad at all.
This official celebratory art is very meh though, but Min trying to save Ryu is the sole good part. I don't think Steve, Banjo, or Joker even got any at all, so eh. Very, very tired of seeing this nonsensical "smash characters on cliff" art though, hope they never use it again after this.
