the ( few ) people defending microsoft move are comparing it to Steam and how you cant take those games to a friend house either.

I dont think that outside of lan parties i ever even heard of going to a buddy house to hook up the computer up to a big screen and play games with your friends.

You'd be surprised. Used games are pretty freaking popular, and the hardcore audience makes up only part of that success.

In any case, there's more to this than just used games: you can't borrow games from a friend, you can't take a game over to a friend's to play with them on their console, you probably can't rent games, a whole number of issues results from this completely boneheaded move. It is a huge deal for many people, and just because you aren't personally affected by it doesn't mean it's not important. Try to have some empathy, huh?
