Wrong Vega if you're thinking its the more obvious one judging from your avatar lol. Pots for some reason still goes by the JP names even though most of us use the english ones these days.

Well this might be a stretch but...what about Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin? Both done by Warner and have edited versions by Judgespear, in fact JS's Homer edit is already based on the CVS system. Could give them a try in converting for your fullgame.

Kinda reminds me of Super Smash Bros Crusade, especially since I recognize that Crash Bandicoot sprite from the game itself.

Gonna try this out, looks really genuine and promising.

UPDATE: Okay, I really am genuinely impressed, a very simple yet fun auto-combo system. I'll list a few personal gripes from what I tested so far, and only of my own opinions.
 
-The lack of KO cries, seems everyone's silent when you get the knock out hit

-Rayman being a mute (guessing a few more are like that too, I only tried out a few characters so far though) along with a badly drawn Bzzit (I assume you couldn't just "borrow" his apperence as Rayman's final smash in Crusade or Flash 2 lol xD),

-More like a sheer nitpick, but the super moves of certain characters catching me completely off guard and not what I'd expect (a falcon/eagle flame for what I assume is meant to be the Mario Finale for example, which reminds me....no Captian Falcon in this game? He'd be perfect for this surely xD)

That's it really, this is a very interesting and great project and I hope there's more to come with future updates and such.

The idea of removing the groove is for balanced and consistency gameplay. I feel that A groove vs P groove or N groove vs C groove is very annoying in gameplay and balance.
This game is targeting mugen crowd, not spesific to cvs player. So this game become separated from original cvs game as brand new game.

This doesn't make any sense, and just shows your lack of understanding and lack of experience.

Removing the grooves destroys balance, and also makes the game boring. Some characters are better with certain grooves, due to attack, defense, specials, and supers, create unique opportunities. You basically watered and nerfed the game, believing it is equal opportunity, but it's not. You made many characters weaker, and you also make weak characters even more weak than before. Some characters do better in K-groove, some do better in A-groove, some do better in C/N-groove. The game is less balanced now. It's not a good idea at all.

Your reasoning of explanation is "it's annoying" where that seems more like an opinion and lack of experience or understanding. I'm here speaking facts. What you are doing is very counter intuitive. Even if you are targeting the Mugen crowd, you just made your own game more boring and one dimensional. Do not call this CvS then..... it's misleading.

The bottom line is.....
Do you want your game to be fun? because it's not fun with a flat, boring 1 system groove, I'd rather use PoTS characters than to use a CvS2 character with groove removal. Seriously, you're making a huge mistake, I would reconsider wisely if I were you.

At the end of the day, you can do whatever you want, I'm just sharing the truth. Do whatever you want, it's your choice.

Go play CVSW then if you want a CVS-style mugen game with groove selection. This is yudhiyou's one and its his choice on what he prefers so please respect that, and FYI I think he's done a great job on this so far.

What you say is your opinion only, not the truth or facts or anything.

Great Guile man, always wonderful seeing more of the SVC style characters around.

Between this and Yamori's SvCEX game, it's a good time for a Guile fan like me. This Guile is a blast to use!

Also, just a side bar, I found a bug with Elder Robert where the opponent will be frozen in mid-air after using a HK Gen-ei Kyaku.

Ooo there's a new SVC Mugen game? Mind sharing a download link? Always been a personal fan of the SVC styled content honestly.

Problem with the original CFJ stages is that they includes characters in the background that weren't originally playable in that game. And since this Mugen game has most of them as playable characters it would be weird seeing them and their NPC selves at the same time lol.

If this is on the topic on Mr. A., sure.
I have CS'd Dan sprites (non-upscaled) coming soon, I'll make use of them when the time comes.

But Q will still be Mr. A's.

I would also like to vouch that you do Dan as soon as your able to get to him, least to remove some of Mr A's stench off him with your own personal edits. Maybe some of Mr A's other characters too since his Q and Dudley are, IMO, the best ones around.

nah it didn't really noticeable except for pre-kof xiii voice. i think xiv and allstar voice sound similar.

and yeah i agree with wonder , a rip from smash bros would be great but you have to wait longer.

EDIT: he's out today.

btw , i know this is a problem for most lost avenger's creation but cody cannot attack while running.

Terry's been out for SSBU since the 6th, that's why I brought that up.

Personally I never been much of the fan of the CVS voice, but that's just me. I agree with a mix and match actually.

Well my plans for Dan is to make his moveset more CvS oriented with the original Mugen moves removed.
Mr. A gave him a ton of moves, mostly supers, and even an Evil mode.

I'd also like to see an sff without the upscaled sprites.

Well, long as he isn't completely stripped of nearly everything and just have nothing but his old CVS moveset (like that guy who edited Ryu sometime after your personal ones of him by pretty much turning him back to his exact CVS self), he should keep his SF4 and SVC moves at the very least.

But that's just my opinions, I do have faith that you'll do a good job with Dan nevertheless since all of your edits have been fantastic so far.

The hitsparks are still on pots, but the sound and gameplay system have been matched with other cvs characters already. So it won't feel out of place on this game. You can check the movelist on cvs_mugen_fighting_jam.txt file.

Okay that's good to know, looking forward to see who else you'll put in this too with the right edits.

I'm curious on why Dan's part of the poll when the latest version of him is pretty much THE perfect one (despite the certain recent events involving you-know-who), least in my eyes.

May I suggest, for Ryu, using 1.8.7's or my edits? These are more up to date with the newer PotS chars.

I can vouch for Rowen, no point having mutiple "copies" of the exact same styled character based off the orginal creator when his version's by far the most up-to-date and polished.

Maybe I worded that wrongly, but I hope people know what I mean.

Very well made post, would personally vote for this to get pinned since no doubt there will be newcomers in the future that want to understand the whole Pots style in general.

Hope one day there will be a properly well-made Mugen full game with nothing but all the Pots styled characters, like a true CVS3.

In SFV the opponent doesn't recover with a back roll though, keep the instant recovery but change it to a typical get up, or at least decrease the backwards velocity.

I don't think Yud's basing this game on SFV mechanics though, even then its up to him in the end.

I really wouldn't do that if I were you honestly, POTs characters are usually meant to have all or if not most moves that they have canonically. Plus there's pretty much already a strictly-CVS based POTs styled Evil Ryu with Victory's version. Keep the supers in imo, otherwise using this Ryu won't be as fun.
