In evilryu.cmd, please move those three "holdp" command definitions to anywhere below the "holdstart" command definition.

And in your rock.cmd, please move both the three "holdp" commands, and all the "AI#" commands, to anywhere below the "holdstart" command.

Or how about creating a complete Tetris game within Mugen, but where the player has to use their character of choice to punch and kick the falling blocks into place?  :D

Your hashi.air includes an action 9741.  The presence of that anim is meant to indicate that the character's command list is in (the first half of) the standard order I've defined, in order to facilitate characters properly detecting each others' basic commands, and to facilitate proper detection of their own basic commands during custom hit states.  So, please bring his CMD file into compliance with that standard, as described in my AI activation code tutorial (as I still haven't gotten around to giving that standard its own discussion thread :().

Am I the only one who doesn't have that cvsgouki_combo.def?
It's not included in patch.7z, but it is included in the current cvsgouki.7z archive, along with cvsgouki_combo.cmd and cvsgouki_combo.cns.  Those three files have time stamps from back in 2005.  They're presumably just outdated files that accidentally got reincluded in the archive (and since they're outdated, I'm too lazy to check what they were for).

In addition, it seems that whenever I try to load cvsryu_ex.def, it crashes.
Did you download and extract cvsryu_ex.7z?  The ex version's SFF file isn't included in cvsryu.7z, due to the extra file size.  (Likewise with Gouki.)
Secondly, Warusaki3 uploaded a patch for Ryu (and an updated complete cvsryu.7z archive, so no need for both) at some point after you started this thread.

A patch for Zugock was released on November 1st.

GM's site is set to disallow posting from non-Japanese IP addresses (and I'm too lazy to go find and use a Japanese proxy server), and I cannot find his e-mail address.  Therefore, I guess I'll just post this here, and hope that GM happens to see it:

To GM様:
My website includes full-width super background sprite rips from The Last Blade. You are welcome to use them in your Zugock, if you wish.

(If anyone knows of a more direct way for me to contact GM, or if anyone can bring his attention to this post, then please let me know.)

If you want to look at it that way, also see "Leecher and Creator."

Yep, I know.  Actually, I just wanted to know, specifically, why Bia considers the title to be more harmful than good.  =P

Note that patch.7z is currently missing the latest version of cvshayato.air.

For Warusaki3:

Gonna keep posting this until it gets corrected!  ;P

It'd be good to replace this:

[State -2, 3]
type = VarSet
trigger1 = IsHomeTeam && Roundstate = 0 && Pos X > 0
var(59) = 1

with this:

[State -2, 3]
type = VarSet
triggerall = IsHomeTeam && RoundState < 2
trigger1 = TeamSide = 2
trigger2 = MatchNo > 1
var(59) = 1

That would be both more thorough, and more reliable.

Load up the characters in this stage for a quick demonstration of how to break the "Pos X > 0" version of the code.  Whereas, I believe it's impossible to break my version of the code.  Plus, mine covers some additional situations in which the "Pos X > 0" version wouldn't work.  Examples:
1.  When fight.def has start.waittime set to less than 2.
2.  After the first match, when the human uses P2's controls to play through arcade mode.

Also, config.txt, cvsg_rugal.cns, cvsgouki.cns, cvshayato.cns, cvsken.cns, cvsryu.cns, sword.cns, and cvsyun.cns each still need a line break added at the end of the file, for the sake of Mugen's zipped character support, as explained on both of these pages:
http://shinchoujin.50webs.com/mugen/zip.htm
http://yu-sweet-strawberry.hp.infoseek.co.jp/mugen/02.html

Rather than including three nearly identical CNS files with each of Ryu and Gouki, wouldn't it be better to simply use a single CNS file with each character, and replace this:

[State -2, 3]
type = VarSet
trigger1 = PalNo = [7,12]
var(12) = 10

with this:

[State -2, 3]
type = VarSet
trigger1 = Name = "cvsryu_ex"
trigger2 = Name = "cvsryu" && PalNo = [7,12]
var(12) = 10

in cvsryu.cns, or with this:

[State -2, 3]
type = VarSet
trigger1 = Name = "cvsgouki_ex"
trigger2 = Name = "cvsgouki" && PalNo = [7,12]
var(12) = 10

in cvsgouki.cns?  That would save a good bit of disk space, and would make things a bit easier for those of us who modify your code files every time you update them.

Anyway, thank you once again for the updates.  Good to see Yun putting up a fight when in the CPU's hands now.  :)

Yes, actually I don't think it's ever said why on Earth it has such a weird design :ninja: maybe to also function as a shield. Maybe they gave her some "shield pounce"-like movements :P
Maybe it's just to help her get through customs more easily.  "No sir, this isn't a weapon, I'm with the orchestra, really!"  ;D
But yeah, definitely looks like it's being used as a shield in that screenshot; though I dunno if double basses are really optimally shaped for that purpose.  =P
(Needless to say, style is presumably the real answer, of course.)

Ah, well, I think I still love the thing.  If I master the game well enough, then perhaps I can at least get it to function as a rhythmic percussion instrument.  ^^

Anyway, definitely looking forward to this game.

Meaning that no, it's not particularly electric,
...
in Kara no Kyoukai, the people of the school she was the head of thought it was a violin when it was hanging on her wall.
Aw, so it doesn't actually function as a musical instrument, but only merely looks like one?  :(

Anyway, thanks for the background info.

A pile-bunker like gun-shield, with a spear part kinda like the Black Keys or the Seventh Scripture of Ciel ;
Yeah, I'd actually inferred that much, just couldn't think of a better term for it than "gun".  (Out of curiosity, is there a term for "guns" like this, whose shaft projectiles are blocked from fully exiting the barrel?)

State controllers are these things:
http://mugenguild.com/docs/sctrls.html

For example, the code in your first post consists of ten state controllers within StateDef 16667 (one of which is commented out), and two state controllers within StateDef 1243.

Mugen requires that every statedef include at least one state controller.  So, I was just asking to see the ones you've got included within StateDef 150541, since that appears to be the basketball's initial state.

Edit:  Ack, got interrupted while replying, and now I see this post is no longer relevant.  Hold on a moment...

Okay, here we go.  So, starting here:

;Wilt
[State -1, Wilt Summon]
type = ChangeState
value = 0
triggerall = command = "a"
trigger1 = statetype = S
trigger2 = stateno = 150541
trigger1 = ctrl

First, remove that trigger2 line.  Madame Foster should never be in State 150541.  That's the basketball's state.
Second, setting "value = 0" means that she'll just go back to her standing state (State 0), whenever you press the "a" button.  Instead, you need to set value = 16667, the state where she summons the basketball.

Next, your code doesn't specify where to spawn the basketball (so Mugen will default to spawning it at Madame Foster's feet).  To make it spawn above the opponent, you should specify "pos" and "postype" parameters in the Helper controller, something like so:

[State 6667, Helper]
type = Helper
trigger1 = NumEnemy && Animelem = 1
helpertype = normal
name = "Ball"
ID = 150541
stateno = 150541
postype = left
pos = floor(EnemyNear,ScreenPos X), floor(-32 - ScreenPos Y)

(Adjust the parameters as desired.)

Hope that helps.

My god.  Is that... a contrabass gun blade!?  :stunned:

...I think I love Ms. Stridberg already.  :wub:
But the weapon looks just a tad unwieldy.  Wonder how they'll animate its usage.
And I guess it must be electric, as I can't imagine such a thin instrument having very good natural acoustics.  :/

Roa, on the other hand, needs to learn how to use buttons.  >:
