my latest update of it, with some new sprites, palettes and a few more little things
the moves look a lot more like the original now

This project is impressive and ambitious.
Definitely not the usual compilation.

You but a lot of work on it!

When can we have the chance to try the first beta ???

honestly I don't know, I haven't set up anything for the arcade yet
I have few chars ready

color separation is very annoying, It takes too long
it's basically finished, I just need to finish the CS

as finishing a character takes much longer than expected, i decided to start sharing them without being complete, so that i can update here and my channel at the same time and also to show that the project didn't die

I made a video showing the specials so far of 4 of the 5 kim versions

I tried to delete all files and reinstall mugenhook but the error persisted :/

Do you use any antivirus software? Please try disabling it.

Update
0.5.4 beta release (therefore 0.5.4b), I've done lots of changes to the code which should improve both stability and perfomance.
New stuff:
- Animated Icons
  Character icons can now be animated, comes with hardcoded behaviour for variation chars to work like MKT.
- Sliding Portraits Update
  New param, slide animation can now be reset on every cursor move
- Cursor Announcer Update
  New way to specify entries, you can use ID to specify sound instead of screen position. This also works with variations (position based entry did not care about variations)

This update should improve compatibility with antivirus software, they shouldn't mess too much with MugenHook behaviour now.

Some bugfixes, small changes and more can be read in the changelog.

I only use windows defender and even disabling the game closes with the mugenhook installed

You're really not helping him in fact you're immediately putting him on edge.

And another thing to point out (just in case), we don't know if this is a compilation or not until the community (which is we, us, etc.) try it out for ourselves once its released.

So please refrain from ever speaking any kind of selfishness to new faces.

Not really

I use chars from other authors, but I redo the programming, I create and edit the sprites, I do color separation so it will take a long time, because I do everything myself

some examples of sprites that I designed

I started editing stages too to give a better parallax effect
for example, I have to cut each character and draw on the cuts so that there are no holes and it all takes a lot of time

And I used it, I made it very clear in all the videos, all the credits to 199way for the original game are there, and in the main post too, the game has ZILLION modifications so I changed the name (provisionally) to make it easier to find.

I'm just updating and standardizing (something he needed for a long time)

I really don't understand much of the rules here, but if it is prohibited I delete the topic

It didn't work too, I think the problem is in ff3

I don’t usually send chars before they’re ready but I can send you the char if you want maybe you can find out what the problem is

The snd only presents a problem if I put these codes
even without me modifying it

already tried to put the snd of other chars but the error persists

For some reason after applying xcostume to Ahuron's kim I get the message "Could not open file: Kim_Kaphwan.snd" the message appears even without changing the snd, as I didn't find anyone with the same problem so I decided to post here

just had this error with this char.

the things that are added

1 animation - 12345
2 sounds - 12345,0 - 12345,1
1 sprite - 12345,0
1 xcostume.txt

basically this is what is introduced in the char's .cns

everything only works if I disable the char snd
