I found one of my older Winmugen stages where I'm using this method.

Feel free to take a look at how I did things.

Should be fully detailed.

Make an invisible helper under a negative statedef -1,-2,or -3 using a detection method mentioned earlier.

then add your water animations and sound effects in that helper state.

One of the reasons why I left Mugen was to see what else was out there and not just be limited to Mugen and I actually started to hate Mugen but I guess I needed a break and I definitely took a long break lol.

But hey, I do plan on working on some stuff, time will tell.

Plans? Who knows.
Work gets in the way and I been commissioned by a group of devs who happened to be resurrecting an old Genesis Fighting title to do some work for them.

I wont say the name of the game but It was mentioned on SRK some weeks ago. But we will see.

Also I recovered the Mugen gear SP Custom edits and files a few weeks ago.

To be honest, I recovered tons of old stuff I did and was working on. But time isnt my friend. I dont have the kind of free time some people here has.

You are better off using 1.0/1 for this.
Back in the winmugen days before 1.0 and up, you would have to add a z pos command line as a detection for your characters to id a stage for certain effects to happen. I did this back in the day with my old works.

for instance, one of my old recovered  interactive stages for Winmugen has this inside:

[State -1, P1 Meteor Storm id]
type = helper
triggerall = roundstate >= 0 && teamside = 1
triggerall = Floor(Pos Z = 300)
trigger1 = 1 && !numhelper(99887701)
helpertype = Normal
id = 99887701
name = "P1 MS STAGE HELPER ID"
pos = 0,200;9999999999
stateno = 99887701
supermovetime = 999999999
pausemovetime = 999999999
ownpal = 0
ignorehitpause = 1

[State -1, P2 Meteor Storm id]
type = helper
triggerall = roundstate >= 0 && teamside = 2
triggerall = Floor(Pos Z = 301)
trigger1 = 1 && !numhelper(99887701)
helpertype = Normal
id = 99887701
name = "P2 MS STAGE HELPER ID"
pos = 0,200;9999999999
stateno = 99887701
supermovetime = 999999999
pausemovetime = 999999999
ownpal = 0
ignorehitpause = 1

Look at the bold lines, the pos z is used to id the stage and its best to do this under a negative statedef

and in the stages Def file

[PlayerInfo]
;--- Player 1 ---
 ;Player 1 starting coordinates.
 ;p1startx is typically -70 and p2startx is 70.
 ;p1starty and p1startz should be 0.
p1startx = -70          ;Starting x coordinates
p1starty = 0            ;Starting y coordinates
p1startz = 300            ;Starting z coordinates
p1facing = 1            ;Direction player faces: 1=right, -1=left

;--- Player 2 ---
p2startx = 70
p2starty = 0
p2startz = 301
p2facing = -1

The bold lines are basically used as an id so the that block of characters code above can detect it
so once detected anything in the helper block will be used for that stage only.

BUT

It's strongly recommended that you use Mugen 1.0's StageVar state controller for this since it replaces what I explained above and its more reliable but if you prefer using winmugen, what I explained would be the way to do it.

Good luck.

Hey It's me. -SyN-

I locked myself out of my old account, used an invalid email but whatever, Ill be using this one as of now since I'm starting over.

Anyway the Zoom code? you mean this?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt96zuUmBdg

Its really a full game type thing and the stages zoom offset isnt fixed, its loose, I used character coding to kept the stage intact when moving close to a character and player style helpers that are not attacked or faced by AI.

Basically when Ryu does his super Shin Shoryuken, I made the invisible player helpers move close to Ryu to make the screen zoom in and hold that position for however long I want and return to its original pos X position when done.

I can freely call on them whenever I like for any type of camera zooming effect.

And I see I have tons of catching up to do.

I pretty much have to relearn this engine all over again but I guess I can't truly rid myself of Mugen lol.
Hell I been around since the late 99 going into 2000.

So most know that I am into custom coding content so whats new around here I should pay attention to?

Uche, I know you meant well but this definitely was not needed....

Not to mention having to deal with the typical MFG-tards with the silly assumptions and judgements without having a single clue to whats really going on..

If you kindly would kill this topic and I would ask for the impossible if everyone  act like this never happened...
But I know thats the equivalent of telling a woman that shes wrong and her accepting it.

Good day.
