Go to Data\Gui\Fight. You will see ef12fight.ini. It's moddable via notepad. Open it. In the line that begins with " FIG_SE_KO ", the default value will be 10. I belive that it's in decimal seconds, so, if you put 100, it will last a whole second from the knockout to the sound effect play "K.O." More down, you will find these lines:
Nope, it means that you can use EditMan/EditWoman's moves, like shown in the video. Now, to remap new animations, I'm still searching for a tuto, I remember of a tuto converting FBX to XSI via Softinage, but I forgot where it is.
EF-12 is alive and well, and the proof is that there's always somebody discovering new things.
Through bone renaming, the youtuber "KOF vs Dead or Alive" managed to port a full rigged XNALara female model (With the model's original rigging!) into the EF-12 Fool Viewer.
Now, my question: If a XNALara full rigged model can be ported into EF-12 through bone renaming, it means that otjer rigged models can be ported too, using the same process?
So, EF-12 is not the only 3D fighting engine. There is Schwarzerblitz that, despite being a ready game, permits modding, and Universal Fighting Engine, the new hype among fighting game fans that deal with Unity.
Universal Fighting Engine (Or, simply, UFE) started umpretensious, but is gaining more and more visibility, mainly with the new games made with this sub-engine, notably Kings of Kung Fu and its sequel, Shaolin vs. Wutang. The team that was developing a game under 3D Game Studio restarted their project using UFE, and there are more than just a couple of ready games that use this engine that, despite using 3D models and animations, focus more in 2D action, remembering SFIV/SFV. MK9/MKX, Killer Instinct ONE and the incoming Fighting Layer EX.
For the people that is seeking a "3D Mugen" with 2D playability, it worths a look, doesn't it?

Recovered Kaluru! A cat that does virtual vlogs in Nicovideo and Youtube, and was adapted to EF-12. His creator did not want to share his creation, but I convinced him.
My EF-12 is reaching its limit... 43 characters till now. (Yes, I'm using the Mr.Antonio-san's 50 character mod.) And my first char finally got a portrait!
Recovered the original TK-PATTON, including portraits, the original moveset of VF-KURAMA, the Mother Spider character based on ASURA/KING CRAB, and A LOT of characters based on FLOATER/SUSHI. (Plus some EditMan/EditWoman templates)
PATTON and KURAMA were in the Version Event 1.51 and the chars based on ASURA and FLOATER, and EM/EW templates, were in the Version BitSummit 1.71 BLESSED BE THE WAYBACK MACHINE! Download links and images will be posted soon.
Laptops are not the best choice to run EF-12. I have a dual-core desktop vith a 256 Mb Ram video card from the factory (2009 Dell Optiplex 960), and It runs well here (24 fps), despite the minimum Ram recommended be 1 Gb.
