AFIK, there isn't a specific trigger that allows specific liedown timers to activate for custom usage. Meaning, if the character's liedown time is set to smth in its codes then it's set in stone, no other character can alter it. I may be wrong though. It's been so long since I read about this. Also, to add salt to injury, if the opponent mashes buttons, then the getup state would activate no matter how long your hard coded liedown time is. I've in fact tested this.

What you could do is make a custom liedown state for the opponent (ofc this would mean you'd need a p2state for your hitdef) when they hit the ground and increase the time it takes for the opponent to get back up again. And since it'll be a custom state, any button mashing would be ignored unless specified.

Though I'm heavily against NFTs, SNK is really desperate for money so I'm not a bit surprised. Besides, I heard that other Japanese gaming companies are starting to venture out into the world of NFTs so this is nothing new.

looks like not many people are making a fuss about this team for reusing assets than expected.
that's good. though the basic attacks will prob be the same, the special moves will be different.

I like it how some moves become cel shaded to give it a retro look to them (SFIV/SFV era).
The movements look heavier/slower than older iterations (smth closer to Virtua Fighter or DOA) and I think that's a good sign.
KOF XV (and somewhat Tekken) still has that bounciness in their movements and I can't take the game seriously.

Also, also remember that changing the size value will also change the character's hit/hurtboxes so keep that in mind.

You got two options, both may seem like band aid fixes but that's the best you could do to.

A: Scale the images to fill in the empty spots.
B: Lower the super jump value to match the image's size.

A would be more sensible as it will still allow super jumps to work flawlessly but the stage may look disproportionate.
B makes it look nice but won't allow jumping higher than what the image allows.

Am I the only one who's not really digging the new designs? Yeah, they look "fresh" but it doesn't feel like SF...

They all look like Soul Calibur characters.

I'm going to laugh if all characters going forward from now are EX rarity. Remember when the only rarity new characters were was FES? And how afterwards the new characters were BS or SS? It's happening again with EX.

They should make all the silvers bronze and push each tiers back by one to make this look simpler (i.e. gold -> silver, FES -> gold, EX,BS,Signature -> FES)

The website manager is Valodim and he rarely visits the site to update a lot of the outdated features. So unless he comes and decides to work on the site again, chances are, the password recovery system will stay as is.

But an admin has the power to do what you're specifically asking, which is to manually reset passwords/usernames so hopefully someone replies soon.

  • XV ported all characters to URE4 from their in house engine used for XIV.
  • XV had to remodel and redesign every character while 02UM literally imported the same old sprites they used for over 20 years.
  • XV introduced Dolores, Isla, Krohnen, Yashiro, Chris, Chizuru, Ash, Elisabeth and Rugal (only counting free characters that come with the base game) as complete new assets to the game never seen before, while 02UM only added Nameless who happens to share 80% of K9999's assets.
  • XV also rebalanced tons of moves and even added some that weren't in XIV.
  • XV also changed music, menus, stages and arcade mode + introduced a new boss challenge mode never seen in a KOF game.

XV literally checks every single box 02UM did.

And as far as I'm concerned, if 02UM deserves a full price tag for doing just that, XV is worth every penny also.

XIII also reused a lot of assets from XII (Vice, Clark, Hwa Jai, Saiki and Mr. Karate were all head swaps) but people didn't seem to mind as the game itself was solid.
But that's because XIII was always meant to be, almost literally, the relplacement and finished version of XII. SNK even went as far as removing XII from online stores after the release of XIII.

XII was an experimental take on the series heading for a new direction at the time (converting to HD sprites). XIV was the same but was heading towards the 3D genre.

XIII and XV both use assets from previous experimental games so I don't see why people are up and arms about the Orochi team being DLC. Heck, KOF'02UM was tagged at full price when they only replaced a single character: K9999 with Nameless and people went ape shit over him for being cool despite being a literal head swap.

But all of a sudden in 2022, people are getting mad about XV for "reusing old assets and making them pay money for it" when they've been doing it for over a decade now.
