Ugh, what ? my point was if a char has an AI I feel its easier when using debug instead or Arcade.
If the char has no AI it will not do anything in both.

I was playing with Karma's Q in Arcade earlier and Ken was tough, granted im shite with Q but in debug hes mostly sitting there drooling.

If you are using photoshop, when you apply the glow to the p1 or p2 render create an empty layer above them and just merge them.
Then do the inverse select thing and just delete the glow.

PotS I saw that you fixed Dictator's intros but E.Ryu's intro does not trigger against DivineWolf's Akuma.

Akuma does his part, but Ryu is having none of it :D

Akuma comes packed in with a patch only for Victory's Evil Ryu as DW has not been very active lately.
I would give you the link, but DW's links are down if you need the patch or anything, I can send the file over.

If you dont want to keep the smash aesthetic there is some super cool light screenpacks that you can use.

Check out NoZ's Legacy normal port version, looks slick and its very light.
Simple mugen screenpack by Meldo is also cool
Archaic screenpack is the lightest of them all and again its very nice.

Does anyone know a good Smash Bros screenpack for 640x480? I would like to do a Smash compilation but most of the screenpacks are on Mugen Archive :(

It also must be for 1.1 so i can use PlasmoidThunder's Sm4sh lifebars.

1.0 screenpacks will run on 1.1 just fine from what I've tested over the years.

Anyway, I found this one for 1.1

Are you splitting the chars up because of inputs only ?

If thats the case, why not include both CMD files in the chars and let people switch ? it would save you the hassle of updating both sets of chars.

Now I can do it with fwd,dwn,back.

outside of missing a few sound bites I feel its nice edit.

I suggest giving him the "Knee press nightmare" sound bite at the beginning its way cooler then the grunts.

I see you took half of pots level 1 and turned it into a level 3, PotS has a cool soundbite when the char is being spun in the air, I also suggest adding that as well.


Oh yeah, the vels on the EX Scissor kicks are a bit mad, they are almost instant and have good range, I would maybe nerf them a tad bit, maybe the range.

Just preference, but I find that grab level 3 hyper lame as hell, id rather have the ultra mega super saiyan psycho crusher, I can see you kept it for the Mega Dictator or whatever he's called.

EX psycho crusher being 3 hits also weirds me out for some reason, was it like that in USF4 or something ?

Other than that, I like the edit, I dig the AI changes.

I did it quietly because there are barely any changes in the Mugen versions. ;P The Ikemen versions on the other hand may be worth getting.

Don't you try to butter me up with your fancy pancy ikemen updates PotS :P

Though I will check them out as well as I am also messing with Ikemen and im thinking of having a small build to play.

Actually the inputs are a separate matter and as it stands Mugen's input parser is still better than Ikemen's. I'm sure that's about to change though.

The future will be interesting because there will be Mugen, Ikemen (Go), Mugenext and probably other engines, and developers will have to pick one (or stay with Mugen and pass on all the new features).

Last I spoke to Gacel, he mentioned that he is working on fixing the inputs, me and my pals that have been playing fighting games for 20 years immediately noticed the difference when people started using Explod and Tiny buffering when we play locally.

With Ikemen for me personally, im most excited about the new universal buffer system that Gacel is working on last time I spoke to him.

Hopefully when that comes out and is ironed out ofc, ill prob switch.
I could care less about the fancy menus, screens, online, etc, though setting up arcade per char is cool, also having multiple version of chars in 1 slot.

One thing also to take into consideration, Ikemen has higher system requirements than mugen from my experience at least, so its going to take time for everyone to switch.

I fully agree that Ikemen is the future though, and I feel that most of its issues per say are tied to staying compatible with mugen, a good example would be the shit inputs.

I have not switched to Ikemen yet for several reasons but for what I want to do, just jump in smash a few heads from time to time Mugen 1.1 is perfectly fine for me.

I will probably switch to Ikemen at one point but I am not sure when.

Man, its been a bit since I fiddled around with an SP but it was fun, I would move to this right away but DW has yet to re-up his chars :(

While Legacy is an amazing SP and ive used it for years, constantly managing custom ports is annoying.

Ill port this over to ikemen when I fully switch too, cause I like how light and easy it is to use.
